Forum changes

That is the most shameful part of this post. We have nobody to blame but ourselves, because when it comes down to it - we're the ones to blame. We make up the community, and although there will always be the bad apples of the group, they shouldn't be the ones who represent the community. Those of us here who try our damnedest to create a welcoming environment seem to get trampled by the cancerous screechings and whinings of the... very vocal... minority. I, for one, am glad of the recent banning of numerous members who have done nothing but deride and demean other members. They are a toxic disease to an otherwise kind and welcoming community.
It is an absolute shame to all of us here that the Devs have to make this statement. Why can't we just try treating all members, both the new guys and the old guys, with some kindness and respect? Is that too much to ask? I know that it is so much easier to just spout hatefulness and hostility at each other, but that drags the entire community down with it and ruins the experience for everybody - not to mention how it dissuades potentially valuable people from joining the forum.
I know that it is easier to pour all your hatred and malice into what you say here because of your "anonymity", but you have to remember that everyone you talk to here is a person.
If you want to sit behind your screen on a forum about a vehicle simulator and bully, insult, and harass others, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Think about this next time you write a post: If you wouldn't talk to them in real life like that, then you shouldn't online either.

The problem many moderated forums have is that they choose to employ users who have been around the forums for a while, and decide to watch certain users very closely. Effectively making them biased in their decisions when looking at sanctions against some forums users.
If the new moderators I'm hearing about have had no past interactions with the forum community, I don't see why they would have a reason to abuse powers (in the short term, at least).

 

Jesus, I feel sorry for you guys, (the BeamNG moderation team), with you and nadeox in general, cause you guys don't deserve this kinda trash.

I feel sorry for the Moderator that rage quit on you guys, seriously you shouldnt have to face up against this sorta shit where you feel pressured, as for those pesky users who abused the rating systems to get like 10,000 likes and stuff who isnt called Nadeox1, should have to be removed or denied rights to like others comments, to stop them from getting 27,000 likes given, there should be a limit saying that, "Is this person supporting or abusing the ratings systems", if abusing "Block rights to show their support and reset numbers to 0 instantly with a warning saying "Excessive likes given 1 warning given" on their account, this is going to be different for a while, as for any member that hurls a huge pile of horse shit at any of the admin staff there needs to be a no tolerance policy for them, sorry this seems to be a complete mess but its the way I think about things, not in a logical order

@tdev , I have an idea. Why don't you guys just simply turn off the forum for a week or so, so that the changes can be made without rioting from the community, and everyone will have time for a cool down. I think we all really need one.

 

I feel sorry for him, he was a great guy but sometimes the pressure builds and you cant control it, quite honestly the people responsible for him cracking deserve to be removed from the forums, I dont think anyone could replace Nadeox's charm and Italian accuracy....

 

Sad to hear this, it's really insane what people think is funny to do to mods and admins.

 

I think we can agree that there are some fingers to be pointed at the people that caused this community to go down the shitter...
A esay way out is picking up people from the forum and making them moderators, but as someone said above, they can be biased, they can abuse power and such. it would end up being a risk, but one that could end up helping the community...
