I definitely think turning off the forums would cause more chaos than it would help, people would be after your blood for it

I... don't think anyone from the forum should be moderators. Even the best of people lose their minds when a little power is thrust upon them.

For forum member Mods, what about an application process? Should mean only the people who can be bothered only apply

 

I think you should specify whether or not they restrict posting, and if it's restricted from all, or all but a select few ( ie, major mod makers, like NinetyNine, SargentFido, bob.blunderton, etc) or if it's restricted from viewing as well.

 

It takes a lot to handle power.
Reason number one to deny this, and its a proper reason for once. But i still see it as a way out. Make a risky investment, maybe it will turn out profits

Too right, I mean there should be a German Special forces division from the Germany Army dealing with the moderation on this forum, then you would not mess around with posting crap....

 

That doesnt happen when the new members are dumb kids that come to ruin the forum. In that case the saltiness is needed.

 

I highly doubt any of us would be moderators. None of us are perfect, and I'm pretty sure the dev team wants to find someone they are already in contact with and know well. We're all just internet strangers who comment here way too much

I would likely be terrible at it, I would be handing out time outs for most things, I am not use to the forum system they use here I was taught on the Phpbb forum software I know that but here, its beyond me!
