Rename the files so it matches up with the pigeon rather than the t-series. Although it may not work if it is made for a specific engine.

Or you could just change engines.

I was hoping to swap the american V6 and V8 sounds, therefore, I do not need any new files. How would I do this?

Bump. Does anyone know what more can exactly be changed like for example how to change the tire skid sound of a burnside, and where are the default sbeams and audio located? There's no tutorials for that specifically, is there a codebase index so you can do it yourself?

I'm pretty sure the tire skid is universal for all vehicles so you probably can change it unless you maybe make a tire mod to go with it. Sbeam isn't used anymore but the stock sounds are held with the stock vehicle files in the content folder if I remember correctly. The universal sounds are Heald in "content\art\" or something like that

Hello! For the automation mods that I am going to put custom sounds in should the name of the sample name be the same name "sound" as the folder or do I have to do something different for this case?

sorry to bump up this thread, but how do I make a start up or shut down sound? like what lines of code do I have to add into the .SBEAM file?

I don't think you can even do that with Sbeam, better don't use this system, it's unsupported and might stop working in the future

I'm not sure myself but you should read the conversations on the Audio Debug Thread and possibly DM the dev who created the thread for help. Or just ask anyone who has experience with this.

I've got an issue myself. I've got my sounds working, and im editing pitch and frequencies in the jbeam, but I cannot get rid of this high-pitched whine at low rpms, and I cannot figure out why. It's not my sound samples, as theyre all modified versions of an idle, and none of them are set to be this high. I tried editing intake muffling, but thats not the cause either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

edit: i'd post a video of the issue but it wont let me upload media for some reason.

do you have some kind of forced induction systems that might cause the sound?
if not have you maybe entered a 0 too much somewhere in the idle sound?
