Will airbags ever be a feature in the game? It's the last thing missing before Beam can fully replicate crash tests.

This is an excellent idea. I'd love official hybrid and electric vehicles. The Sunburst is a perfect candidate for a hybrid version. It's a modern Japanese sedan. Think Camry Hybrid, Civic Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, etc.

Yes, there are mods, but an official vehicle would be much better. Currently, the game doesn't support full series-parallel hybrid technology, such as is used in Toyota Hybrids. In series-parallel hybrids, the electric motor can move the car without the internal combustion engine running.

 

I'm sure the developers might not be focusing on those, unless they have made a comment saying they will.

 

I agree, but I hope this will eventually be added. They added the ability for multiple engines a while ago, so I see no reason why this would not be possible.

 

Those are petrol and diesel, I'm sure that's the only engines they'll do.

 

Who knows, hybrids are becoming more and more common all the time. I wouldn't be too surprised if an official hybrid eventually makes its way into the game.

 

I'm sure that devs aren't following trends, as much as they are looking for fixes or a new car, or more configurations for the pre-existing official cars.

 

Hence the other part of my original post, about adding actual airbags to the game. Or my other suggestion, an official minivan.

I think we need more automobile beginning-era cars.

 

Yeah, that would be nice. I'd love to see a Ford Model T equivalent, or maybe a 1930s hotrod with a flathead V8.

 

The only mod that was in that era isn't functional anymore.
