How do I replace the engine sound in a (outdated) modded car?

I have found a cool Mercedes 280 E mod but unfortunately it's outdated even tho I'm able to spawn, costumize and do what ever I want with the vehicle. The only and annoying issue (for me) is that the engine sound doesn't work anymore. So my question is if it's possible to copy a sound file (for example from a gavril roamer engine idc) into the modded cars file. Would be really awesome if someone can help me out with that.

Bump. Yeah, I have the same question/issue. I have a mod car that has no engine sounds. I'm familiar with editing jbeam files and would be willing to do that, but I don't want to muck anything up. Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to essentially update the mod, and would share the files with the creator to get the mod updated.
