Fix is for Mike94, if you put it to zip that will make zip invalid as it classifies as a tampering with a mod or something.
I have been working on the Satsuma for a full year and I want to do something else for a change. At least welded rear doors and a rollcage will be included in the next update. Maybe some other parts too, I don't know yet. Thanks. I like the low powered sound. Transition from idle to rpm is very smooth now. The rotary sound still isn't perfect, but it's definitely better. I think the rpm sample could be much louder at low rpm and quieter on full throttle at high rpm. I tried to increase sample's volume on Audacity once, but it lowered it's quality a lot. I can release the new sbeam in the hotfix. I'm gonna make the custom lua some day, because I hate the slow top mechanism and I think other people hate it too, but currently it's the only way to make it functional.
Police version don't fit to this car. Japan used bigger cars (I think the smallest was Isuzu Bellet). This one is too small. Tbh only one variant left that existed - pickup with closed cargo area. For me Satsuma 210 is finished when we get rally/race version with proper parts. Like great mentor said "everybody needs a friend" so I can't wait for another vehicle, because Satsuma is little lonely right now.
I think that idle and rpm sounds are quite different, that can make it bit challenge to blend in nicely, but definitely I'm going to try your suggested volume modifications and trying to improve blending. From some reason when I increased volume of rpm sample, it now plays starting from idle, even I have set it so that it should not play at all before 1500rpm, I need little time to investigate this bug, currently I don't see any sensible reason of why it would behave such way as there is no other sbeam file that I can see of. There always is some thing that makes 5 minute job taking 5 hours or few days in BeamNG modding
You must increase volume of the rpm sample itself on some audio editor. The "minVolume" of the sounds in sbeam must be zero, or otherwise they play even when the engine isn't running.
Ah, that sounds like a bug in Beam to me. Try with these files, I boosted idle volume what I could, lowered bit of rev volume, there is not much room to edit volume of idle sample until it starts to clip, but I think it is smoother. Also noticed that low power cars did not use idle sample after my last edit, so did try to include idle sample to those and to get it sound somewhat ok transition too. I'm not sure if bridgeport is now bit too quiet though? I noticed you had old unused samples in mod, which you might want to remove from release.
Id like to remind you of my older suggestion of maybe making a Jeep FC, which was discussed on this thread earlier (page 13 or so). And if you set your mind on jet powered, I have a few suggestions for you as well. Jeep FC Chrysler Turbine (1963 or 1977) (Well Documented, Both based on existing Frames https://www.allpar.com/mopar/turbine.html Dedicated Page) Socema Gregoire (Very obscure) Rover JET 1 (1950, Well documented, based on the Rover P4) Howmet T1 (Gas Turbine Race Car, Custom Build but Quite Well Documented) Toyota Sports 800 GT (1977 Showcar. Basically a Sports 800 with 22kW GTEL* Powertrain) *Gas Turbine Electric Any of the GM Firebirds (Yes, GM not Pontiac. Theres a 3rd one shown are FB II+III) 1981 Mercedes Auto 2000 (A Series of Large Concept cars looking for fuel Economy. https://dyler.com/posts/168/1981-mercedes-auto-2000-testing-petrol-diesel-and-gas-turbine) Because WE ALL LOVE a good Rotary Concept: MAZDA RX500 Honorable Mentions: Chevy Turbo Titan III (Truck, Almost no Data) STP Paxton Tubocar Shelby Turbine My Suggestion: All out for the Toyota Sports 800 GT (or GT Hybrid Car). Great Car, Fills a nieche as we really don't have a Proper Kei-Car. And You Get Two for the Price of One as the only real visual difference is the Hoodscoop. And Documentation is Quite Good as well due to there being Quite a few Normal Sports 800's and a loving Community. Needless to say it has got the Beautiful lines and features of one of the arguably most beautiful GT cars of all time. The Toyota 2000GT
I have some problems with the sound, it's waaay too quiet. Tire squeal is louder than redlining rotary. As far as my knowledge goes this is not a natural occurrence.
I am getting "No Texture" all over the car... would anyone know why? Maybe a mod that just isn't capable with it?
Thanks. Now the sounds are really good. I don't know why all those unused samples are in the zip? I removed them before release but they have spawned back there for some reason. I may do the Jeep FC next. after my current project. I want to do some early Jeep in future and they share many parts with the FC. The sounds are fine on my end. By the way, what kind of speakers do you have? Did you clear the cache? Old cached files cause texture problems after updating the mod.
Just to clarify my statement: I Dont Demand anything or request here. I just suggested a few things that you might want to look at as i think not all are so well known and rather interesting And i suppose you speak of the Jeep CJ5? Its sharing the frame and rear suspension with the FC 150/170 And I btw love the idea of the Turbine Powered car. Its something we dont really have in Beam Yet. (I know about the Jetside, but thats more of a config to match a turbine, Not a "proper" Turbine or GTEL car. Which i define by the entire powertrain not just the engine) Personal Opinion: I would rather have a Gas Turbine than the FC, which is Quirky in its own sense, but not comparable to a GT in any way
has anyone noticed that with some configs, the car appears to steer to the left much faster than to the right?
havent noticed it, but maybe Torquesteer has an influence on the car? I mean its Pretty Light with a Rather Large and Heavy Longitudinal Engine that can be quite powerful? Or the Diff has a Bias
Are you on the latest version of the mod? For me, B opens the roof and Alt+5 turns the light on.. maybe my controls are different
