no engine sounds?

    Have you run in safe mode yet? Because it's probably an old sound mod or something.

    Reinstall the game (maybe). If you have mods, Back them up. Or if your game is screwed like mine, It will keep the Mods after A clean reinstall... I cant guarantee this though. so better just drag them out of your mods folder to back them up.
