i've wanted a 1jz and/or 2jz swap for the 200bx for ages now. if someone were to take the etk i series 3l i6, make it rev higher, give us turbos and change the power band a little i think would be the best option. any moders looking at this and wanting to do it, please do so, i would also love to help testing.

    Any response appreciated,
    the forum normie.

ETK I-Series to Ibishu 200BX engine swap:

I wasn't planning to release it, but with a good tune, it might work for you.

I might be able to make part of it, won't touch anything related to graphics though, but torque curve, turbo and little number stuff like so:
    2JZ_build_process.jpg

Sadly CT20 compressor map does not exists, but boys tell me T3 map would be sufficiently close, of course Stage 2 and Stage 3 will have different turbos, but let's see what I can cook up.

No, it can't be made easier way, now I need to start writing up numbers so that spreadsheet will have correct data, of course that will just give a starting point, then it takes days to iterate and refine to actually behave like real thing :D

Wow i didn't know making an engine from scratch was that hard! i'm going to try swap the etk k series engine in, but EcoNadder77 already did the etk i series engine. If you want to try make the powerband i can attempt to do some of the 3d models. I'm crap though.

I guess it is as hard as one likes to make it, you could easily just do some copy paste, but I at least try to do it with somewhat scientific way, which is not guarantee that it would be any better really :p

I have stock 2JZ in game (just numerical data), but torque curve, turbo spooling etc. still needs lot of work, also Stage 2 and Stage 3 needs to be made, those (Stage 2 and Stage 3) are just place holders for now in file, but if you want to change node/flexbody stuff, I attach file here, because I'm really useless with that graphical stuff. File goes to folder BeamNG.drive\vehicles\coupe I might change the filename so that I drop that stock out from it, because file will probably hold all versions of the engine.

It might take few days until I have Stage 2 and Stage 3 done.

This page is my reference for power level, I guess that power range is enough good?

Update: Did some more work on stock 2JZ, far from ready still, also changed filename, so if you downloaded older version you need to remove that to avoid conflicts.

This kinda is why everything takes so long from me

Cool dude! i didn't know this many people were making this engine, i guess it goes without saying it is a 2j. im going to try import the graphic model for the 2jz from street legal racing redling. i don't know how its going to be with blender though.

I don't know how it will fit, but anything can be made to fit of course :)

I attached latest WIP version. I'm wondering a bit of the site I linked earlier, in their article they quote wheel power and they torque is really weird thousands of Nm, even weirder is their claims of power, when their torque rises certain amount from baseline, it is possible to calculate what torque they had, but with that torque they can't have that kind of power, it would need more torque to reach that kind of power level, especially stage 3 of that power, it would have more torque at 7000rpm where max power is than at rest of the powerband, yet their torque curve does not show that. Alternatively their torque at 5500rpm should be a lot higher than what it is, so need to look around bit more sources.

Also turbo spooling etc. is not yet tuned properly, but everything will be there eventually.

This is my current engine file, just some adjustments to torque curve of stock version. Anyone has had success with getting engine model put to 200BX yet?

My engine uses real world T3 compressor map as well as spooling is tuned for that engine, there is not much left from default turbo, easy to test that.

Stock motor is twin turbo, when you want power, you put single turbo in.

    Pretty :D

That is quite tight fit, is that in your custom 200BX mod?

i worked a bit the other day on updating the prasu. im not that great at making realistic engines and i think my 2JZ could be improved a bit.
Would it be possible to use one of these? Would it be better then my current engine in the supra?
Also if you guys wants to do 2JZ swaps, i really dont mind if you use the 2JZ in the prasu. just leave credit for the proper author.

Last is latest, free for grabs, but it is not ready yet, however I do plan to improve it when time and motivation are in same space, you know how it goes. Did work a bit on it this evening, but there is quite many hours work left.

When I get done, I could send you latest version, so if you don't hear anything in, let's say 2 weeks, hit me with a pm.

Yes it is :), I had to shorten the radiator shroud a bit, but it fits nicely in there.
