I should be able to find that out once I get off work. Keep in mind the weight of that rear end I said included rear axles, diff, and every rear end component in it.
Alrighty after a combination of personal knowledge and some proper research I've whipped up this list of part weights. Springs & Coilovers Front: 13lbs (5.8kg) each (Typical Non-Specific Racing Coilover) Rear: 9lbs (4kg) each (Typical Non-Specific Racing Coilover) Control Arms & Steering Front Upper: 5lbs (2.3kg) each (Moog) FrontLower: 8lbs (3.6kg) each Rear Control Arm Assembly: 18lbs (8.2kg) (CTS) Spindles: 28lbs (12.7kg) pair (CTS) Tie Rod Assembly: 43.2lbs (19.6kg) (Moog) Wheel Hub: 10lbs (4.5kg) (JOES) Brakes Calipers: 3.8lbs (1.7kg) each (Wilwood) Pads All Around: 8lbs (3.6kg) (Duralast) Things that I didn't already know I did plenty of research on to get reliable numbers, so everything there should be about as accurate as you can get without personally weighing it yourself. As I said before any other info over parts you may need don't be shy to ask. One question out of curiosity though, what kind of torque and rpm figures did you use if you don't mind me asking?
This is looking damn nice. I can already imagine the sound of me crashing it into a wall after attempting to do donuts.
So there was this guy who was related to this guy who used to work with a guy who knew a guy who had some original torque curves from engine dyno testing. We used that along with carlosjr's experience also working on late models
Sweet that's awesome! I've been building my 3rd gen camaro up to nascar spec slowly over the years, so I'm glad I could help put some of that knowledge to good use, and of course help out with this mod that I've been following for a while.
That sure is a long line of connections. It is also great to know that this has a lot of learning and real information put into it. I knew it did but man I am going to be like a 5 year old when this is released.
Well take the number of downloads from the late model and multiply that by 2. The camping series is more popular then late models from what I know.
the late model was never put on the repo either --- Post updated --- because of how quickly youtubers will no doubt get hold of it i really dont want to release it untill its almost finished. i dont want glitches in videos to put people off it.
I could probably get a couple pictures up but not sure where to post them, I don't want to post anything unnecessary in this thread. I'd eventually like to make a 3rd gen F-body mod, maybe I should start some sort of thread or discussion. I'll be sure to thoroughly test and let you know of any bugs or shortcomings once it's released. If there's any other way I can be of assistance in the mean time just speak up brother.
