So, as with Rigs of Rods [I can't tell, it looks like it] The Russians are ripping meshes from other games, and slapping them in game, but I never saw weather this was legal or not in beamng. Another thing is, these ones crash well, the stolen P.O.S cars in Rigs Of Rods, like 09Chal's cars didn't really crash nice [Like is raptor], but these are different, and per usual, on Russian sites, only. I'm just not understanding, 1. Are these legal to own, 2. Why can these stolen mesh cars crash nice, unlike R.o.R?

    haha those crash well?

I mean, you can use them if you want but there's a lot of negativity (justified) toward them on the forum and they often conflict with other cars and create more problems than they are worth

I haven't had problems, except when I load the both of them together, I get minor texture problems between the two, other than that I haven't had any problems.

And, like I said, they crash better than a lot of old conversions in rigs of rods.

That's because they use the same JBeam as Gabester's cars. The cars that don't look the same as the JBeams don't deform nearly as well.

There's a couple of cars made by them that are pretty decent like the Lada samara made from scratch and has proper jbeams but there's also a lot of cars that are horrible in terms of jbeams, I use them but I don't have a big drama with them

    Oh honesty...
I have a few from those "free beamng car mods #xx" youtube video cars. Most are really shitty, the Lada Priora wagon crashes decent, not too good...the Altezza is absolute crap, the range rover doesn't even work (at least for me). The jBeams are pretty rough (well they are good, but don't match up at ALL) and a lot of the times, these Russian POS cars get those jagged extra long unrealistic triangles poking all around. Pretty sad. But just driving around in Slow Mo and cruising, these cars LOOK nice, so sometimes its not so bad. But comparing them to original Gabester cars is like comparing Chicken Noodle Soup to Borshch (which I actually like but they're completely different lol)

the ruskies have been putting more work into (some) of their cars as of late, and as such there are some decent ones out there now. theres still plenty of classic (lol) Russian mods that are just a mesh slaped on a jbeam, but its becoming more common to see cars with modified jbeams and even a few that are scratch built. still not as good as what you get here, but some arnt bad. and as moosedicks said there is a certain stigma attached to owning/using them.

The lotus for example is russian and not as abysmal as the older russian mods. It still isn't 100% there yet and its still a ripped mesh, but there is noticeably more effort put into it than before. Driveshafts are animated which is a nice touch and the JBeam skeleton actually lines up with the car for once. The beam/node strengths and weights are quite far off though, the engine and gearbox isnt quite right and there are no coltris but its a decent start.
