I temporarily am using a GTX 480 (I did a DDU before switching drivers, so that isn't an issue.) I launched beamng for the first time since switching, and I got a warning saying that the minimum GPU is a GTX 550ti, which is far worse than a GTX 480. In the tab where it shows your specs, it properly identified the GTX 480, so that isn't the issue either. The game runs perfectly fine, with a smooth 60 FPS+ on WCUSA with Max texture and models, and minimum everything else, on 1600x1200 with an 8370.

Yeah, guessing the devs just went off a model number and above, might be tricky to do it any other way though.

I thought of that also, but then GPUs like a GT 710 would be considered "worthy."

for simplicity reasons we use a fixed number and compare if it's above or below.
It's just a warning, if it's working for you then just discard the warning.

(FYI : some people run the game on DX10 cards or IGPU and ask support why it's lagging)

i7 5820k, 970 FTW+ 2.0+, I can run WCUSA on maximum settings (minus DoF, I don't like the feel of it) at 60 FPS (capped at 60) with 5 cars. Then again I've overclocked my 3.3 GHz to a shockingly effective 4.2 GHz

Although I doubt it makes this much of a difference, BeamNG runs better on processors that perform single core tasks better (Intel) over processors purely made for multicore processing (AMD). This would be one extreme example if this case is true. While the game itself uses multiple cores it relies heavily on each individual core to do a set job, like dividing the work up.

I have a feeling you both have dynamic reflections turned on.

Definitely not that, as my FX CPU keeps up.

    Continuing with the offtopic conversation,
I personally cannot live with dynamic reflections off, so I struggle to get 60FPS on ECA (on high, medium is fine), and forget about WCA. I tried turning dynamic ref. off and was greeted with 60FPS on high with SSAO in WCA. It's a pick and choose world, medium and dynamic ref. or max settings but no dynamic ref.
