infinite spawning player glitch

    I got the game about 1 maybe 2 weeks ago. It worked great for a while, but now when i open a freeroam world, and it just says "Spawning Player" infinatly. I let it load for 45 mins and i just hear the engine in the backround. It will only load in about 1 out of 50 times at this point. I've reinstalled, (full reinstall) ive gone in safe mode, and i have cleared the cache. Nothing has worked. I know that other posts have been made but it was a while ago and a few updates ago so i thought i would make a new one. Thank you for your time.

    issue been here for a while the devs know this,
    this is being fixed in the next mayor update iirc

    @Nadeox1 can you confirm my statement?

    I haven't seen this. Are you loading a massive level and running out of memory? You could try loading a small level.

    this happens at random (even grid map) a dev replied to reload the gui (forgot wich steps ) as a temporary fix

    It has been fixed, yes.

    If you still have that, go for a completely clean reinstall of the game:

    Of course, if you have the 'fix/mod' we posted time ago, you need to remove that asap.


    If you get that again, it's possible some file on your side are broken/modified, not letting the level load (console would give hints)

    oh it has been fixed? in wich game version? i had this issue 2 weeks ago when i installed the game on some random hp computer from work (some sort of a imac pro clone with decent specs)

    Did a clean reinstall, still just infinite spawning player :( hope this gets fixed in the near future.

    Define 'broken'.

    I don't see anything wrong in your game logs.
    You tried to load Gridmap, the game was doing that, and then you closed the game.
    In another log of yours, the game crashed instead due an error coming from your video card (probably a driver issue, try to reinstall them).

    The logs are telling the truth. it DOES load grid map. But the loading screen is stuck on spawning player. I can rev the truck and hear it. When i press f11 it opens the world editor and i can see it. When i close the world editor it goes back to spawning player. The game is fully loaded in but it says "loading player".

    How long are you waiting?
    The first time you load a map (or if the cache is not there yet), it would take slightly longer as it's preparing the shaders, then the loading screen would go away automatically (should not take more than 10-30 seconds, depending on the PC, since you start hearing sounds)

    What if you press ALT+U (toggle UI) when you hear the sounds? ( May need to enabled 'Advanced Functions' in Options > Gameplay)

    The alt+u trick does work for a time, i press alt+u, double click on the window, and then press f5. I see the car and i see the overlay but then it goes away and the loading screen comes back. Ive let it sit on the loading screen for 45 minutes plus (timed it).

    Sorry, it was CTRL+U to toggle the UI (ALT+U is to open the UI console)

    It worked! (though having the ability to have an overlay and change vehicles would be nice, but how can i complain) Nice temporary fix. I hope that this issue will be patched in the future.
