Semi has airbags, change pressure and suspension height changes. Of course that is possible currently only by modding, but many suspension height changes happen by airbags, not sure about buses.
I can't find any evidence that any of the dev team ever said anything about the bus being "not a rocket". As far as I can tell, it originated with @Harkin Labs Gaming - unless he saw something that I didn't. Oh... the filename! I hadn't thought to check there.
So yeah, for people still thinking it might be a tram, it's probably not a tram -First we can clearly see a wheel arch, typical of low city buses, wheels take a huge part of the bus interior. Bus as someone mentioned it could be an electrical box or something else. -From the height we can guess the "vehicle" is fairly low too the ground. -It would make no sense to make a vehicle only compatible with one map. Now, more serious stuff : -Here's where the bus stop from the dev's pic is located (Red cross) -On bus stops we can find this map : -Matching it with WCUSA road system : It seems like the bus in the photo would be using the green bus line. Now we need to check if that that line is covered up by the tram rails -Here's WCUSA tram lines system. As you can see, it only covers about 80% of the green bus line, which, we can probably guess, means that a railcar wouldn't be able to fully cover all bus stops. And by the same times, it looks like the tram system isn't linked to the bus stops or map.
Somehow I think that you did not read last two pages or so: https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-456#post-800663 See, bus at the same spot as dev screenshot:
Yeah I know, was more like to sum up or whatever we were having a debate somewhere on discord. Just had some time too loose I guess.
Don't mind them, the pics that you have overlaying the bus and tram routes on WCUSA are pretty cool and add to the discussion
It's too bad I can't use the "funny" rating. I'm very excited about this bus - we finally have a major piece of new content that might come in the short-term future. The trouble is, we're going to have another "Hopper Situation", where everybody expects it to come from this manufacturer or that country, builds themselves up for their predicted outcome, and becomes angry the moment that it gets disproven. Remember all the people who were unhappy to see the Hopper come from Ibishu? The only thing that could head this off is more information coming soon from an authoritative source - like say, a developer setting up a thread in the "content created by Beamng" forum...
 Well actually it's quite intresting to see how they bother making proper bus lines/map and stops. They could have placed bus stops randomly, but they didn't. Though it seems like some bus stops aren't placed at the same spot on the map are they were in the city. They probably either planned that all thing along, so we could have proper bus scenarios, or it was totally random (Probably the last option)
can someone please tell me where this picture was found? if it was found on the official dev pages posted by devs that's cool, but this could just be a picture of a unofficial mod. I saw someone else point out the picture had Russian text... however that seems to be a picture from a different angle. Can someone link me where the original picture was found?
You are now confusing my mockup of this and this, but look here, it becomes all clear: https://www.beamng.com/threads/micro-blog-s-2018.51722/#post-800528 --- Post updated --- I'm quite certain that some gameplay element is planned, it could be that they had a plan and it was revised while making the level, but they have not updated map at the bus stop yet.
I really hope the sound on the bus is much better than the T series. The engine on the T series is underwhelming and muted.
They can work many vehicles at same time. I'm more curious about that crawling thing, will that come to game at some point? Posted this to wrong thread:
