Hi, I am new in this game Can I have smooth throttle control? for a normal car I can control it but when it comes to a higher tier( Track,Hillclimb ) it is too hard.
I don't have neither gamepad or steering wheel but I 've played DiRT Rally for 450+ hrs (keyboard only) and Assetto Corsa for 80+ hrs (Mouse + Keyboard) I should be able to handle any car but I don't know why the cars keep losing grip while entering high speed. It handles like Richard Burns Rally which I think it isn't what real life car would do. When you drive in high speed, it is getting harder to turn a car because of the momentums the car is carrying even on gravel. Or maybe I am wrong the whole time.
Assetto Corsa and DiRT Rally are totally different video games, in terms of handling and physics, compared to the BeamNG.drive, therefore, you must expect that throttle, braking and other actions, would affect a slow or powerful vehicle in different games, differently. Throttle control in this video game, is obviously a huge advantage, however, for someone like me and you, it could be a hell to achieve a smooth throttle, however, I did solve some of it, on the certain vehicles with one technique. For instance, whilst going fast with an powerful vehicle, I often and constantly release the gas "pedal" (button) to avoid spinning out on the corners (also depends on the drivetrain, as All-wheel drive (AWD) and Front-wheel drive (FWD) will be much easier to handle in the high-speeds and fast corners), and smashing the car into a concrete barrier, or tree.
If I recall correctly you can set special filtering to youg accelerator button to make it apply the throttle slower. It will make your lap times slower but it will be easier to controll the car.
It is in here, controls, then vehicle, click control that is assigned to throttle to open that panel you see on right, then Filter Automatic, you can choose keyboard, which it should at least in theory already have, but keyboard is slowest filtering available. It would be handy if you could tune filtering by slider though, but sadly that is not possible, even adjustment possibilities are one of the best in any game. In case of hillclimb vehicles, you could try to set gearing taller, especially 1-3 gears are quite short and taller gearing causes bit less wheelsping. Another possibility is to add stability and traction control from parts selector menu ctrl-W, I think that at least for sunburst and SBR4 that should be possible. Any power that causes wheelspin or spin out is wasted power, so sometimes less engine power is better, choosing stage 2 turbo or lowering boost pressure of variable turbo might help too.
