Weekly race thread

Damn.. What's the bitrate of your video? I have slow internet too, but for a 5-10min video it only takes an hour or so.

 

It's 34798 kbps i have no idea what this means but the video is 795 MB, and its the fist video I have ever uploaded.EDIT: only 500 mins

 

after about 20 attempts i finally managed to get around the island in 3:08:9, i was using the "Default" buggy

 

I think we may be choosing different starting points, since a specific spot to start the race from was never specified.. I chose to drive out of the parking lot and start my lap from on the track.

Everyone OK with making this the official start/finish line?

I guess that I'm going to have to tame this thing!..


Also may I suggest Death-Road-RELEASED-2-10-FIXED for a future challenge?

 

I can't even sand rail. This is hard. Haven't even been able to make it around the island..

 

Tell me about it! The lap in my vid is the fruit of like 20+ previous attempts, practice makes perfect

I attempted the sand rail challenge, but couldn't make a single lap. Just too impatient I guess.

the rear suspension doesn't last long. i dislike racing on dirt maps because the ground doesn't seem to absorb any energy. just bounce around everywhere.

2:30 is possible

 

Had an unreal busy week last week and same this week ! Just made tomorrows challenge video, this week its a more fast paced, tarmac rally style route ill upload the video tomorrow! should be back to normal work hours next week, then ill design a results table !

p.s i removed "theforest" ingame because i had lag when using fraps. feel free to do the same it doubled my fps

 

If my race sponsor was Ibishu company they would go bankrupt in one day (but i'm more Moonhawk kind of guy)
so after many fails, i finally removed "forest" so i can see the track and after dragging my front bumper behind me for half way i managed to go around track
my time: 2:25:7

 

I was torn between the Covet and the Moonhawk, however after the billionth time trying to get a lap i went for the covet

 

Downloading the map. I'd like to see something like a racetrack with the H15 Supervan next week, maybe?

 

I quite like this latest race. I've had a few go's now and have only managed to set 1 decent time of 2:27. I did get almost to the end on a really hot lap, but clipped a hill on the left, causing me to roll and land on the roof about 10 metres from the finish lol Finding hard to stop the car bouncing around along the first section without loosing too much speed.

 

This race was great I finally managed to do a lap in 2:26 after so many failed attempts. I added some of them at the end of the video for fun .

I could probably shave a couple seconds on some of the corners if i had another few runs.

 

I vote that for the next challenge we repeat map and only change the car

But i did really enjoy the map that was used this week, it was really good fun to drive around.

Ill look at that in the near future I want next weeks challenge to be totally different tho

as its its friday I suppose we could switch cars to ... ... The stock bolide mwuhahaha !!!!
