I have been monitoring the progress of the B1 for a long time. I really like how it is going. Absolutely cannot wait to drive it!
When this is released, do you think that you can make a mod that adds the engines and trannys to the D-Series, H-Series, and Roamer?
Well, so far it's still the same... atv_123 is busy all the time, & now when I had to reposition some meshes, he has to do stuff from 0 again... You should direct this to @atv_123 since he's the master coder in this mod
Technically speaking about 60% of it is in game... sort of... Basically, as Sithhy said, everything I have is built off of the old mesh's that Sithhy had. However, since then, He has rebuilt the body again, adjusted the dimensions of almost every component, and moved around a lot of other stuff. In doing that, that basically means that I need to adjust and reposition a lot of stuff as well to match... It's a little annoying to have to do, but it's certainly not the end of the world. I have all my JBeam components saved in blender, so I should be able to adjust them in blender and then just re-export them... Praying, of course, that blender doesn't decide to number the nodes differently... if it does then I have a real mess on my hands... again, not impossible... just a bit of a pain. Umm... I mean... I could? But don't the D-Series, H-Series, and Roamer have enough engine and transmission options for them already? Heck there are some mods floating about that add tons of engines... I personally probably won't do it, but if anyone wants to do it... It will be a seperate file, so anyone could theoretically just change a couple of values and they would drop right in.
Ok. I just thought it would be a fun idea with the custom engine model. It is true, I already have 400 mods that are in 17 gig folder and there are quite a few Gavril trio engine mods in there. You make a good point. --- Post updated --- Kind of looks like the bumper was stolen from a firetruck.
ahh ok. I though you were doing it, also just try to learn jbeam so atv has less to do its not too hard, i figured it out on my own
im really exsited for it can whait to offroad will pulling a mountain and do you think your next vechicle can be an oringinal willys MB cus thos things are really cool
I guess with a mod like this coming I better stick some rocks in my map to make rock-crawling trails with. Seeing as my terrain in Roane County can't really make for much of a detailed off-road trail, the actual rocks themselves will make it up. So, yes, I shall put that on the list of features to (eventually) add to the map. This will be a fun vehicle to use and you can be sure the car-crash compilation guys will love it for car crushing. --Good work guys!
Honestly... that would be a good thing. Currently I am actually struggling to find terrain difficult enough to test this thing to its limits on. Almost everything that normally hangs up or breaks normal vehicles poses little to no threat to this thing, especially since I added in the low range and the torsen diffs. I mean, sure... it bounces around a bit... but that's about the worst of it honestly. It is extremely capable and, quite honestly, the only thing that hangs it up is the fact that a trail might end up being a bit to narrow for it or something. Most terrains were built with in game vehicles in mind, so while you may have to use the most heavily upgraded version of a vehicle to conquer most maps... everything I have tackled so far the Brutus has practically made look like a joke.
Then, you're definitely designing the vehicle properly! I would surely have to agree! In civilian form it's not nearly as rough and tough as the version for the military who used them (in real life), but basically, the ruggedness of either version should easily surpass that of typical civilian vehicles better suited to mall parking lots than off-road trails.
what about the jeep its the same thing but it can acually fit in trails but the hopper i can get anywere with a stock one with LSD front and rear and even in the rear so ya the hopper is really good but the brutus like you said is living up to the hummers rep of being a really good offroad vechicle if beamng had to were you can break treas im pretty sure you can just make room with it --- Post updated --- will there be a Cummins swap with it or no? i know the stock motter was Duramax but ive heard of some being Cummins
Motter XD Anyways, Jeeps, or Hoppers in our case, aren’t as strong, reliable, and capable as the H1(B1). So let me ask you this, would you rather go to war in a military grade vehicle that can stop a bullet, or the first off-roading company that started in WWII.
will there be a cummins swap with it or no? i know the stock motter was Duramax but ive heard of some being Cummi i would tahe a willys MB cos thos thing can take a bullet and keep going and there small but im not hating on the H1 its a great car i just like to fit down trails
