This is arguably the best model I've seen on the forums so far. I anticipate this release!!! If you put as much effort into the Jbeams as you have into the car, well... It's going to get major attention! Kudos on the car so far!
Its a Toyota Tarago actually, the Emina/ Lucida is essentially the same car but it has different lights & bumpers etc... As you can see
My dad had a Emina/ Lucida. Import. Hard to get parts. It was slow. Ugly. Died in 2007. Then he got a 93 ed falcon. How his got a 05 camry.
My mother had a 1995 Honda Odyssey which died in 2011, she then got an 05 Camry then a 06 Territory. To be honest, the Odyssey was my favourite out if them as I practically grew up in it.
this went way off topic, because of a random instagram post...what was the purpose of that previa picture anyway? OT, the model looks great and hope it continues on to being game ready. I had a TON of friends that had these cars, and they ALL were crashed or stolen at some point. So it would be awesome to crash one in game and make fun of my friends with a recreation of different friend's crashes lol One crashed into a guardrail on the expressway and caused a 6 hour traffic jam, another crashed into a church sign at my local church, one was stolen and recovered with piss in the back seat, and another (which was an older body than this one) tranny fell out of the bottom and subsequently got rear ended by a 2011 Ford F150 and basically crumbled the whole rear end it about 4 feet. Whole trunk and back seat were pushed into the passenger compartment. That one was the scariest for sure. The other 2 were just being idiots and driving irresponsibly (this is over 5 years ago too, all my friends including me are much better and more responsible drivers now lol)
My cousin was given an old Toyota Previa to drive by his parents (my aunt and uncle) back when he first started driving. He hated it so much that he crashed it. He always insists it was a accident, but some people think it was on purpose, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was. He's 23 and out screwing around in California trying to make a living now. And btw I like to call those Previas "egg vans" because they are shaped like eggs.
Good news everyone! this is the OP and I am back after a few months missing. I have started working on the car again today, and i have made some progress that surprises even me. I have the car hood in beamng using the .jbeam from the moonhawk, I may have to use a car that is closer to the shape of my car though. I am having trouble centering the parts for beamng, as you can see in the picture I had to raise the hood way up in blender to place it right for the jbeam. To finish the whole car it will be tons of work. I plan to get the shell of the car in there first, should take a week or two. I'll have this thing up and going. cheers! I will be making a tutorial of how I did this in the next few days so check back.
You need to move the origin/pivot of all your meshes to 0,0,0 and reset/freeze transformations (or whatever it's called in Blender). Then you won't have to move the mesh.
thank you i was able to do this, i have the car running in beamng now all that is loaded is the frame, body, engine, transmission, glass, bumpers, hood, trunk and wheels. It drives well. What i want to do next is give the car some color, how do i create colors in beamng?
As the owner of a 2013 Elantra, I can only wonder how my car spawned from that thing... (not saying I don't like it, but... similarities?)
