1. I think it did die, unfortunately. Unless the creator says otherwise. 2. As said in the post above mine, you bumped this thread. Users here don't really like that.
What purpose do you think that bumping the thread will do? Either the OP is working on it or he isn't, no sense in bugging him passive-aggressively by bumping his thread.
Why does it seem like everytime someone announces an amazing mod, it gets cancelled or is unfinished?
We should already know. It is one of those "too good to be true" moments when something like this is announced. Rarely though we do get lucky. As with the upcoming camping series style Gavril-D from Matty and the skyline which I am pretty sure has been quite sought after on at least the forums and not some Russian website with the quality of a cardbord cut-out. This I would imagine would have turned out like a good portion of any other modern sports cars. Or seeminlgy modern cars in gerneral.
I know right? It is f*cking frustrating because they give you hope/make you excited, and then they take the hope and excitement back, and you remain.. soulless....
I know right. "Ooh, a Ferrari mod!". and that's the end of it. One mod I'm looking forward to that most likely won't be cancelled is Crashmaster (the guy who made Prasu/Supra) 's LaFerrari. bumpies
What some people don't seem to understand is that modding (especially in Beamng) takes a lot of time, effort, and a love that the creator has for making mods that can not detour him/her from creating; even if their life is stressful at times. But certain mod creators lose interest in what they do,(whether it be they don't have the same passion or motivation as others, or are busy dealing with the real world) and decide it would be better off just to stop working on a project indefinitely, or just stop modding all together. This is due to the fact that modding is difficult and only the skilled and determined are able to follow through in finishing a mod. So although it may seem frustrating to some of you that a mod, that looks ready to be released, is cancelled or on hold; you need to consider the fact that the person making it is a human being with feelings, just like you and me...that can make decisions for his or herself, and shouldn't be swayed by others if they feel they can't continue making a mod; since there are probably numerous amounts of obstacles that they face in life. So instead of complaining, how about you try to create a mod yourself, and see how easy it is.
Or, for instance, I don't know if you have seen it, but there's a thread for a Renault Twingo III Mod and it (got cancelled). When I saw that is was cancelled I got mentally and physically destroyed because it is my favourite car...
The only mods I've ever done are add some zeroes in a jbeam file. And yes, I know jbeaming is pretty hard, I didnt know my comment would gain this much traction though.
It wasn't necessarily your comment, or you per say, but its the attitude some people have towards unfinished mods that i feel is ultimately futile (in trying to portray anything) and is somewhat unnecessary. And that comment i made was conjured up from a recent bump and collection of comments stating how one feels towards that mods' current status, so it wasn't you, but the concept itself i was trying to tackle. And since there seems to be no further reason to comment on this thread for anything pertaining and not pertaining to this unfinished mod, we should just all move on.
