Yes, I will hold my phone up to my mate's renault 4 and hope it sounds ok! I would get a sound clip from the internet but there is a lack of renault 4 engine sound clips.

I have mentioned previously that it will only vaguely look like a renault 4, many of the design details will come from this forum, anyone who has an interesting idea will hopefully have it implemented before release.

 

I'll be watching this one... At first I was a bit skeptical that'd you would complete it, but now it looks like you have some progress

 

As of right now, I am working on the engine, and I have come to the decision to only have one engine variant as everything appears to be coming along slowly right now. Also, the lights and wheels have been given their final model now.
There should be a rolling chassis available to test by Easter.

 

Tech! I support you and your mod very much my friend, Once it's done, is it okay if I use it for some photo stuff for the classic car group?

 

I really don't mind if pictures are taken of it. As long as you say that the mod is mine I don't mind what anyone does with it.
It's also nice to know I have support for this mod, everyone seems to be really interested in it. Really I didn't think people would like it as much!

I may as well use this message as a progress update as well.
There is a start to the engine as well as a revamp of the wheels, which are based off of 2cv wheels.

If no-body likes the round headlight I shall change them, however I prefer the round headlights.

 

This will really give a little bit of a kick for the group, and i love these little things, they're so adorable <3 A friend had one and it was so cute

But it's not because of my poorly managed group and my friend having one, I really want a 4 wheel car that has a small engine and doesn't go faster than around 120-160 km/h

Okay, I will make two variants, because many people wanted four.

 

The test may not be available by then, it all depends on whether I can finish all of my studies quickly.

 

(Small update: Studies have limited the amount of progress so the mod is unlikely to have a test version for Easter. That and the fact that parts of the model are broken and parts of the model need a redesign, such as the front of the chassis.)

 

Wait, broken? why

 

The front bumper merged with the chassis, that means I cannot make the bumper chrome and the chassis black at the same time. I have no clue why I thought merging them was a good idea, however now I am just going to split the two parts.

Sorry, I would have uploaded this on Thursday but I got sick and more studies and etc, etc, etc,etc.
Anyway here are the sounds that I propose to use for the Cuatro.
(I have just realised that I keep calling it the Renault 4 rather than it's actual name. )

 

Sounds really good - how are you going to change it for different gears and rpms etc.?

 

I have other sounds at different gears.
That was just one of the sounds.
