Best Hot Hatch/Fun small car

Any mid 70s through 90s saab. fwd, spacious, turbo'd, good in snow, absolute blast, easy to work on.

 

I’m looking for a new or almost new car, not a used one! I will definetely look at the toyobaru twins though!

 

Would you consider the Buick Regal GS? They are AWD, but slightly larger and heavier.

 

Seems a little too old-man ish. Also, I don’t think they handle too well.

 

Saab 9-3 XWD
very rare and it isn't that fast but it's a nice saloon (sedan) with a V6 engine if you want one. The 6-Speed Manual is nice too. the turbo engines also have a lot of torque down low.
FWD Saabs aren't as fun as they can be a bit scrabbly on the front tyres.
XWD (all wheel drive) saabs are nicer.

 

Clio 182, 172, rs200. Simple.

 

Make a drift version from the GT86 with RWD and shiny engine.

 

He said he's looking for a new car and none of the above were available in the US.

 

Ok. Still fun though.

 

How about Pulsar GTI-R?

 

Audi S3?

 

Subaru WRX STI. More fun than the Golf, more reliable than the Focus, better in snow than the Toyobaru.

Also, is anybody reading the OP, or just unleashing their inner weeb/Eurotrasher?
