what I did was install notepad++ and on one of the install windows it will say something like "enable %appdata% plugin loading" check that box then finish the notepad ++ install, then download the JBeamV2 file and save it to desktop make sure to rename it as "JbeamV2.xml"<---- important, then open Notepad++ and look at the top bar starting with "file" and follow that until you get to "language" then click "Define your language" then click "import" go to the JbeamV2.xml file that you saved to desktop click that and click import, it should then say "import successful" now go open up a Beamng file that you want to edit like "pickup_suspension_R" (color won't be changed yet don't panic) then go back to language and it should say "JBeamV2" click that and Voila! it should now be color coded. Since this is bumped. Not to come off as rude, but what makes this different from JavaScript highlighting, apart from colours? Because I just use JS and it's fine, I've even added .jbeam as a valid extension for JS, it works.
