For people complaining that the body doesn't deform, keep in mind this is based off of a '70s Corvette. They were made of fibreglass.
This is true, but I agree that there’s room for improvements on my part. For one I can control breakage better in the rear with a redesigned JBeam. This is a major sore spot, and will help things a ton. I mentioned that I could possibly add the badges and some configurations as a forum only add on for the mod.
Also, there's a rumour that's floating around...something about a 423 Vendetta with side-exiting exhausts and black everywhere...like the Kingsnake and Lancehead variants of the Barstow, but all Vendetta-based... (Hint hint, @Driv3r1142 )
https://imgur.com/a/Tyrix loved it so much had to do a couple photos. wish beamngs graphics engine was a bit better looking
BEAUTIFUL mod. but right off the bat i noticed a few issues, like everyone is mentioning the jbeam structure is not good, car slides forward with parking brake on, car melts on impact, doors, headlights, hood jiggle on high speeds. but other than that a VERY beautiful car
Yes, it could. However, sadly this would require redoing the entire model to do it properly. When your foundation is flawed, very rarely can you leave the rest of the building standing on it in order to fix it; this same issue is in play here... I should have used way, way more polys than I did. The fact that it even looks this good is a miracle tbh. I simply do not have the time anymore to redo the model. I’m moving, and even with a newly acquired gaming laptop I got, I still only get an hour a day max to even do anything because my real life is more important. I can spend that hour fixing the JBeam and other in-game side things, which IMO are much more important than redoing the entire model, since while what I have ain’t perfect looking, it’s good enough for good deformation... As long as my new WIP JBeams are better than the current ones. I hope you guys understand where I’m coming from; with as many issues as there are in the JBeam, I need to spend my time on those the most in order to improve the mod the best.
I'm honestly impressed by the model. Looks good, despite the only moderate polycount. It's not too late to smooth out the curve of the wheelarches a bit, everything else looks the part. As you probably know already, I'm not a fan of meshBreaking. Works nicely here, though. Maybe disable meshBreaking on select parts of the structure, where possible? Some elements shouldn't meshBreak (see pic).
i remember a car from RoR that was a SUV style and it was the gavril v-something (i know only it has a v in the name). what car was it?
yes but this is the gavril vendetta and this gavril RoR car has a similar name (yes i am quite corious if not a ass)
The radiator doesn't work well in some models,it gets overheated too quickly, hope it can be solved soon!
Are you using the high performance radiator with configs with more power? or are you using stock? It should warm up a bit, then stay there consistently. Would you mind saying which configs are having issues with the thermals so I can take a look?
As you can see,the car doesn't go really far,but it started to get overheated after the speed reaches about 180 km/h. In addition,if I stop the car after the engine get overheated(the temperature bar is full),the temperature doesn't go down! I'm using the roadsport 423 and I didn't make any change of it.The same problem may exists in other configuations.Hope this problem can be fixed soon! --- Post updated --- I find another problem just a minute ago, after the overheated engine shutted down by itself, the game tries to restart it automatically, and then it restarts without an end!
