WIP Beta released Quad cab D-series (eight doors)

I've been working on this for a couple weeks, and I think I have enough progress to start a thread.


One day I extended the D-series in Blender for fun, and now it's grown into a full mod. I still have to move the bed, rear suspension, etc. backwards to where they should be, but the body and frame are mostly done.

The crashing isn't the best yet. Here's a 50 MPH side impact using the ram plow T-series:


It looks okay, but the interior is quite spiky. I'm working on that.

And in case anyone was wondering, this is actually a thing in real life (lol)

The Toyota company made this for a car show.

 

this is really cool. It's something different, and i like that. Looking forward to seeing future progress.

 

I can't wait till @hog0005 makes a badass lift kit for this truck... Hopefully?

 

yeah. it won't be amazing for off-roading because of its insanely long wheelbase, but it will be interesting.

 

I'd only (try to) go fast with it, which would be kind of hilarilous

So I like the idea and it kinda reminds me of Diesel Brothers because they always stretch their trucks like crazy, but one recommendation would be to make a frame that allows for room for a standard crew cab and a long box. Either way cool mod!

 

will we be able to lift it or no? I mean I get it wouldn't but the best but I like being able to lift absurd vehicles and is there gonna be a long bed model?

OT: this mod is a good idea its like a limo truck

 

A quad cab is what my pickup is with 2 fullsize doors and 2 rear suicide doors that lead to the rear seats... what you're making is more like an octo-cab. Octo referring to the number 8. Quad means 4.

 

I thought double cabs/dual cabs have two seat rows (and quad cabs have 4 seat rows)
