Do you guys want a crappy demo where you complain all the time or let the authors get this game to good point and release it when they are happy to it? I'll let the authors finish the game and be happy if they even realease the game at all in the next year(s).

But, they could go the other way around, and let the community help test for bugs and issues. There would be a Bug section in the forum, with already known issues, so there are no doubling posts.

I would like to see BeamNG do what ArmA 3 is doing, first the Alpha build with some features, and more will be added as the game progresses in development.

    Just my opinion though.

+1 I was a beta tester for playstation 3 games since it came out and it really helps develop the late game and fix tons of bugs and glitches.

ARMA III Alpha was also not released until the game was stable and correct. There is a lot of bugs and it is far from the final product, but they also waited until it was ready for Public Alpha. Private Alpha and public Alpha can be two different versions. Private can be more bug ridden where as public is more polished. I think you guys should stop speculating and let things happen. I understand that it is hard to stay calm when you get excited, but learn to control yourselves.

It wasn't even a suggestion, more of an opinion? I am calm, unlike some people here, and is understandable. I have the patience to watch and listen to the developers "develop". I am not speculating, simply voicing my opinions on such topics...

    Stop taking things so literally.

Easy Geo, it wasn't directed at you to 'calm down'. The first portion of the post was directed to you to kind of read in on the subject, or the opinion. I was trying to make the point that even though it is ALPHA it is still a polished version..

As far as the calming down, I was talking to everyone above your post who were speculating about Thomas' post.

Well, Kerbal Space Program's first public release of early alpha, it was way less polished than BeamNG, so I find the nays and yes's are a total moot point.

And how would Mr. Hammaneggs know how polished BeamNG is or isn't? Have you played the game by any chance? Are you a dev maybe?
Yeah, didn't think so. The only people who know how polished BeamNG is are the devs. The fact that CoD gets released without any new features every year doesn't mean other developers should do the same... KSP benefitted from having a less polished beta, BeamNG won't because it's way more physics based, so the physics need to be very stable or else people will complain...

Seriously guys. Tdev said what's up. There's no reason for him to say there won't be a beta if they're gonna release one is there? In fact, quite the opposite. So don't think it's some sort of conspiracy theory :/...

EDIT@Below: Because beta is the term everyone tries to use even when it's not in beta yet. Also, my post was not aimed for a flamewar over CoD. It's just a game that's perfectly usable as a bad example :3

Also, yes, I know you're basing it on what you've seen. However, you shouldn't present your posts as fact like that, cause in all honesty we don't know how polished BeamNG is at this moment. It could indeed be very polished and good, or it could be buggy yet working enough to make great videos of.

I forgot to mention that I was referring to how polished it is based on the official videos, and it certainly appears that KSP was far less polished based on early videos of public releases, than BeamNG currently is based on its videos. Also, I said that I neither support a nay or a yes for the hype, as I said in my previous post. (BTW, your post just screams flame war, which I want to prevent, and I don't play shooters such as CoD)

BTW, why is everyone calling it beta when it is in the indev or early alpha stage?

Pretty much every single post since when I announced the "" thread (apart from the first page) has been flamewar. At first I supported my argument, but its been a day, we've had no development (except for more forum restrictions) so I'm just gonna say that we are probably not going to have a demo any time soon...

When I first posted that, everyone was exited. We've had development and the devs have been pretty assertive, looking back... But now we've all exploded. :|

Haha, it's never worth it to get hyped up without the developers actually saying anything. Too easy to get your hopes up.

Although nothing happening was kinda disappointing, I enjoyed being sucked into an alternate dimension.
