Substantial power loss from shifting to Drive

I think I have encountered a bug in the automatic transmissions. When using an automatic and shifting from Second (2) into Drive (D), the transmission absorbs a significant amount of power until it shifts to another gear. It's best to observe this in the middle of the power band using the Engine Debug tool. I'm guessing that the 'shiftEfficiency' torque reduction that's implemented between gear shifts is inadvertently activated until another gear shift is encountered.

Please see the attached image and compare the Wheel Power and Wheel Torque. The left image shows the output while at full throttle with the gear selector in Second (2), while the right image shows the output while at full throttle after moving the gear selector from Second (2) into Drive (D) with no change in the effective gear ratios.

When the engine eventually gets to the next shift point, either up or down, the power output is back to normal. If accelerating through all the gears in Drive then the problem does not occur.

I believe that the game encounters a flag to activate the torque reduction mode (shiftEfficiency) when going from Second into Drive and there is no flag to deactivate it until another gear is selected. The solution should be to remove whatever is activating the 'shiftEfficiency' mode between Second and Drive.

Thank you for looking into this and solving the problem, I have encountered another bug with the automatic transmissions though. I can't get the 'parking pawl' to engage when the selector is moved into Park, the vehicle just acts as if it's in Neutral. I'm sure this is another quick fix, you guys might even know about it already.

While I have your attention, are there any plans to implement thermal features in the transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials? Friction from spin loss, fluid pump loss, torque converter inefficiency, and gear changes all play a large part in the heat generated by the driveline and power drain between the flywheel and the axles. For example, I've noticed that for the most realistic performance, the transmission friction should be set to 55 - 65 on the RWD 4-speed autos. I think you guys have done a fantastic job simulating the various components so far and I look forward to future developments.

    Thanks again.

My game will not even use "park" on the automatic transmission since the "Wentward DT40L" update. Does anyone know how I could fix that?
