    Well now specs are:

    GeForce GT 520M 1GB
    4 GB RAM
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU 2.3 GHz
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

and I get stable 30 fps on lowest settings (only shaders and textures on low), but I'm going to buy a new one but it'll happen future. I can clearly see that my bottleneck is CPU when it comes to physics because I can't play with 2 cars at any map because it'll drop my framerate drastically.

All settings on high. Very smooth. but then again this rig weighs a lot..

How do you like your Sager? I've heard very good things from them, but ever since I left the hardware section of the minecraft forums over a year ago I haven't heard about them.

It's pretty quick and stable. But very heavy to lug around when traveling. Also the power supply is a bit heavy to haul around as well. Otherwise I like it.

After setting everything to the lowest and disabling SSAO, my Samsung ATiV Book 2 runs the game with 25 FPS on grid maps, and around 20 on Dry Rock Island. The only problem is the horrible steering. Specs: 4 GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Pentium 2117U Dual-Core 1,8 GHz, Intel HD Graphics - you see, it's a regular office notebook.

    Intel i7-4810MQ 12GB DDR3 2.80GHZ
    NVIDIA GTX-870M 3GB DDR5
Intel 4600 on board (not bad actually)
    128GB SSD+1 TB HDD
    WIN 8.1

    60FPS 1080P on Gridmap
30-50FPS 1080P on all others. Can run up to 5 vehicles before FPS dives. This with everything under the sun cranked!

Only had the game a couple of days but think I am getting around 25fps in 720p.
I did try it in 1080x1920 but it was running about 10fps!

Each setting on normal in 720p I get about 25-30 FPS. I guess that is pretty good but
the next time I'm getting a laptop it will have a nvidia gtx card in it :)

My dad's 15" Retina MacBook Pro (keep in mind that's the one with a dedicated GT 650M) runs it at around 30FPS on medium-high graphics at somewhere above 1080p in Wine. Haven't tried in a long time, so this is off memory. I remember it running on max screen res, but that seems unlikely since it's 2880x1800. Unfortunately, that was not a permanent solution. My brother has it on his Dell desktop (Core 2 Duo with some new but cheap AMD GPU), and it's darn slow. He's not willing to buy a better PC just to play games, of course, so that's it.

I know a RMBP is not specifically a gaming laptop, but if you have a 15" (not 13") one for work and want to play something on it, give BeamNG a try :)

I have a Cuad core 3.4 GHz CPU, a GTX 650 1GB graphics card (DDR5) and 8GB DDR3 ram and i get about an average of 45FPS with the pickup on dry rock island full graphics settings (Except for lighting quality which is on medium) but i do sometimes get some framerate drops. It all costed me around $450.
    Good day to you sir!

    Good Day to you Folks.

    I am very disappointed:
    I have an Acer V3 772G
    Intel i5 4200m
    11GB Ram
    Geforce GT750m

whatever i do, i cant get higher FPS than 10. It simply doesnt matter if i use high or low settings in the game. Maybe the game just wont switch between the Intel Graphics and the Nvidia Card, although i selected it in the nvidia context menu.

I dont understand, why even weaker laptops have a better performance. Could Win 8.1 be a problem? or maybe the old direct x 9?

    Any hints for me?

    Thanks a lot!

    #update#

Well, i found my bottleneck. It were two of my four RAMs (1X 2GB + 1GB). They bottlenecked the overall power of my laptop. As i downgraded to 8GB (2X4GB) it was much faster! Now i have an average fps of 40 @1680x1050 high details, except lighting=normal. post FX = on, except SSAO.

So keep your RAM combination in mind as well.

    ahoi.

Laptops usually are not for gaming. Though on my old dell core i3 2.30 ghz 6gb ram and intel graphics i got a steady 25 fps.
