I'm jw, before I try and clear enough space to install BeamNG, if it's actually decently playable on a Surface Pro lol I can imagine that it would be better than trying to play on my dying desktop PC with a 2009 i7 Specs: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4037670/surface-surface-pro-specifications
Surface Pro isn't meant for gaming, so I would expect any exceptional performance. Simple games sure, but bigger/more complex ones, nah.
*small bump* I mean if you have a 1050 GPU and an i5 and 8gb ram, it is feasible. It would be better than the specs in my signature. I don't know really... It's worth a shot.
Yes it does. It doesn't have a video card, but it does have a GPU. It is Intel HD iGPU (integrated GPU) and is weak, but its still a GPU.
I thought the higher end surface pros had a dedicated Gpu. I'm pretty sure the newer ones do though. I thought the older ones had a dedicated Gpu option.
The surface book has an optional dGPUin the base/keyboard - the surface pros only have integrated graphics.
Just tried BeamNG on the surface pro 4 (i7, 256gb) and it just about gets 30fps average of WCUSA, 50-60 on gripmap. lowest settings (I think? Looked like it, but still had shaddows) at 1080p res. Started getting pretty warm though, doubt it can keep powering through for any respectable time. Also, didn't try plugged in, doubt it will make a difference though (other than thermal throttling sooner).
Okay! thanks for the help guys Yeah after testing it it refused to run lol saying there were no shaders or something
back in 2016 i ran beamng on a surface pro... at native res lowest settings fine... lowering resolution wil do... good device for usage on the road and good enough battery life to do so... i would buy one again just for beamng on the road but my dell is *fine*
