Running/syncing problem?

    So I have had this game for a while and I have had no problems with It until February. This problem seems pretty simple It just doesn't wan't to launch I will click play and It says running and then It says syncing and nothing happens. I have tried to verify cache, deleting the game and reinstalling, Restarting my PC and I have even deleted the cloud folder and after deleting the could folder It almost looked like it was working but It just says running. 100% and It stops. It does not say syncing anymore but now It just won't open I have talked to a staff member about this and we ran through some problems that could be interrupting the launch process but so far no luck anyone have any idea what could be going on? this game is literally unplayable for me otherwise :(

    A few other people had this randomly happen, and that's probably not even related to the game itself (the game did not receive any update recently, it did not change).

    Perhaps it's related to:
    - Steam itself
    - Some Windows update
    - Some Windows Defender update (some user reported that disabling it helped him)
    - Pretty much anything else that could have changed in your system

    Hi I think i have this sorted and wanted to post in case anyone else has the issue.
    in the steamapps folder, go to the beamng folder, theres a file called startup.config
    open that, and change the file path to .\
    otherwise its looking for the program in your mydocuments folder, which it isnt. hope this helps mine is loaded now

    That's the userfolder.
    It's normal that by default it's on Documents.
    That's not where the game is trying to load from. That's where the userfolder is located.
    In there you will only find your settings, mods, and game's cache.

    If for some reason something is blocking the game from reading that path, then you'll get problems.
