I am really tempted to go into the files and change Muddigger to Blaster. I'm not sure why I suddenly want the classic name so much, but I do...

    I have great news!
My Asus' CPU fan violently decided it didn't want to cool anything anymore, so NWIH I can play Wreckfest for a while now seeing as how I'm stuck with my rinky-dink Macbook, a dead Asus ROG, and a truck that needs 600$ for frame rust repair. :(
I've got 900-1000$ for a solid Asus (preferably) laptop if anyone has suggestions.
This sucks. Can't game, can't draw my stuff, can't do anything but browse the internet and be bored.

BC Banger crashed major hard and it took a couple hours for the server to fill up again, weird.
After that it picked up and the racing was very good and as usual everyone taking second fiddle
to smokey. It really turned into a good mature bunch of racers for once:cool:.
Good grief man, I hope you catch a break with all that! Pretty sure you can pick up a fairly powerful laptop for a thousand bucks but you'll
definitely need to research it. I don't feel qualified to give recommendations however if I were in your shoes I'd lean towards a gaming
    rig.

I picked up my MSI dominator for 1200 bucks a few years back. Been a great gaming rig. Best so far

Indeed, My dominator has treated me very well with minimal issues, just a twice a year dust out. I run Wreckfest on my new desktop though. Wreckfest in it's FULL glory.

Mkay...455 big block hangin' out the ass and shaved a full 2 seconds off my big oval best time. Absolutely ridiculous:p.

It's the old Bugbear Bug and a mod from the workshop, that still seems to work. This thing is virtually undriveable at A622...lol. If you can hang
on to it no doubt personal track records will fall. I can't even imagine what online would be like if mods like this could be used.

I bet the backer car is gonna be an ex-FlatOut car, like the Chili or the Malice. Who knows for sure though.

Very doubtful. They won't be using any of those cars at all, I wouldn't think. Licensing.

    --INCOMING WALL TEXT CRITICAL HIT---

Backer car isn't even going to be that exclusive when every pleeb upgrades to deluxe edition after full release. If they would just do the ads like they and the community had talked about long ago. We could setup an in game economy where we auction/sell off our own cars to each other as built or unbuilt as they may be. With parts that you could buy/sell off the ads and what-not as well. Don't get me wrong, the racing part of the game is fun and I enjoy that the most, but it would be nice to have some other mental activities aside from just thrashing, crashing, and listening to the the trolls in multiplayer. (Did I say idiots? I meant to be nice and call them trolls) They've neglected the immersion aspect of the rest of the game.

Good gameplay is good, but I would just like to go about getting my parts a little differently I guess. Almost too simple now.

That being said, adding those pretty customizable paintjobs was definitely part of the unexpected package that we had asked for. And I am not necessarily upset with Bugbear as they have done a fantastic job in the meat and bones part of the game.

Here's to hoping for good final content!

    Edited for... just about everything.

100% agree with this. I am worried the devs are intending to get the PC version out the door without addressing a number of "immersion" factors relating to vehicle customization in particular. The recent survey clearly indicates (to me anyway), that they are a long ways off from their assumed goals. That, and my interpretation of dev sentiment expressed in the forums has me worried they are under pressure to get the game on shelves sooner rather than later. I see the simplicity and lack of polish in the vehicle assembly and tuning departments and wonder if the plan isn't to just "release and patch" endlessly. Conversely, What THQ has done to save this game is awesome and I would simply be happy with the game as is if it meant getting released
    at all.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate your ability to read through that cuz somewhere along the way I messed up some editing.

I more or less agree. I just felt that they were worrying about whether or not average Joe could keep his car on the race track and forgot about a lot of other key features that really caught my attention when they were first developing the game... Cough look at my picture. That car went through 7 derbies. Can't we at least be required to buy new car bodies every 5 wrecks? Something?

    let's carry onward though.

    BC Bangers tonight, anyone?

Damnit, was hoping to end the night 1/2 on that last Sandpit race @Mopower77 , Team BeamNG all the way!
Of course some asshole in a Mudigger had to ruin it last lap, last turn. Fun night. The Lilsmokey/Sagecrit war was
    quite entertainig, and uh beneficial:cool:.

Hopefully I'll be back and running the gauntlet with y'all sometime next week. I'm just going to fix my Asus. Bought a replacement CPU fan and a battery and have already taken the accursed thing apart. For the meantime, it's playing Minecraft on my Mac for me :/

I don't record often in order to preserve my computer as it gets a little warm at times. But I did record a couple of good races.
