Maybe you guys could add a feature where if a node stretches too much, it will disappear and "rip". This would fix the problem of vertexes flying off in random directions in some bad accidents. It would also enhance the realism of sliding and door ripping. :)

Been discussed before, verdict is it's currently not possible but is a feature that they'd like to implement.

Already possible actually, BeamStrength handles that, if it snaps it'll delete the mesh in that area.

Ugly I know but yeah, same thing.

A couple of great examples of the current system are 1) The box truck. If you roll it you'll notice that sections of the sides of the box kind of disappear. That is the structural beams breaking as the box is crushed, and the mesh being deleted as a result. 2) If you download the Gavril Wheelie Truck 3500, make the the stripped version, and push both the gas and the brake while in manual, the driveshaft will simply disappear and you won't be able to drive anymore. I believe its only 1 beam so as it breaks, the mesh of the driveshaft completely disappears... As DrowsySam said... It is pretty ugly. However, its proving to be fairly difficult to devise a method to define at where the mesh should tear, and to what extent, should a beam break. It'd be nice to have a more precise system for tearing... but as has been said in other threads on this topic, I wouldn't be expecting that any time in the foreseeable future.
