Tech Demo Crashing On Startup

    The moment I open the demo, I see the logo but then it says it has stopped working without a description. I'm not sure if I should buy the full version if the demo doesn't work.

    Sadly the demo isn't supported, but I have a few things you can try:
    Try checking the amount of RAM usage, often times RAM limiting clogs up the system, causing the game to not have any directories to respond to, luckily, the newest version has better optimisation.
    Try checking the amount of memory and disc usage, if you see either of these limiting out this could be your problem, though, same as before, the game has better optimisation for these kinds of things.
    If none of these work, what specifications on your computer do you have?

    What do you mean by the demo isn't supported
    but here are my specs
    CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690S CPU @ 3.20 GHz
    RAM 8GB
    Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

    Oh wait I found out why Im on DirectX12 but it only supports dx 9
    but the game says that it runs on dx 11
    Will it still work?

    The demo is an extremely outdated version of the game, the demo is from mid/early 2013, so the demo's got some glitches that will never be fixed (because the demo is just to show off what the engine can do)

    Yes. Newer DirectX support older ones too. Not the opposite.
    As said previously, make sure you have correctly extracted the techdemo first.
    If you are sure of that, you should check your antivirus and similar software.

    Other than that, there's not much to do. The techdemo misses many of the support tools that are present in the current versions.
    Also the techdemo, as mentioned in its page, is based off a very old version of the game and does not represent the current version in any way (also the requirements are different)

    That's never assured, but what is assured is that you will most likely get help from the community or support team if something were to go wrong.

    The techdemo crashing is pretty weird, but as said above, it doesn't have the tools we need to help you properly.
    If you buy the game, and get the same issue, we would be able to help better, as those tools are there.

    The game should work just fine. With those specs you should have some decent FPS. Save up and have fun!
