Welcome to Dirt Jam.Created this in response to DrowsySam's request for a motocross style terrain and it was quite fun doing so too. It's my first 'real' terrain with the editor, but I think it's alright. Open to suggestions and problem reports. Features: Entirely dirt course based off of real layouts. Banked turns, long straights, and mud pits. Small, big and huge jumps which require a moderate amount of skill to pull off. Abandoned-styled look. Other stuff Screens: Changelog: V1.3; Re-smoothed the entire track Removed bumps and odd lumps that made driving hard Improved jumps Improved lighting Additional terrain fixes and new, better looking sky. Installation: Extract the archive into your BeamNG > levels folder. I may update this slowly, so keep an eye out for little hot-fixes or updates. Thanks, and enjoy. Featured video, or somethin.' Thank you, WhyBeAre for the great video!
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Oh, what? I don't even. Is everyone else having this problem? What have I done wrong? :C Edit: I actually made the map through GridMap, and I assume that is why your map has returned to GridMap's terrain elevations and such. Would anyone be able to provide a fix for this? I'll get looking for one right now, too.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track here you see the first problem in the dirtjam.mis new TerrainBlock(GridMap) { terrainFile = "levels/GridMap/GridMap.ter"; the game load the gridmap terrain file surely there is more to...
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Oh, thanks! I'm stupid. Fixing now. - - - Updated - - - This should fix it. Report back if not. Place the file into the BeamNG > levels > DirtJam folder and overwrite.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track change the terrainFile = "levels/GridMap/GridMap.ter -> terrainFile = "levels\DirtJam\dirtjam.ter and copy the . ter file from levels/GridMap/GridMap.ter -> terrainFile = "levels\DirtJam\ and rename to dirtjam.ter this works maybe.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Love the map! (gonna be sweet with the new buggy sam's making)
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Already done. Fix in above post. If this does fix it, I will get the new download uploaded ASAP.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Well i was jsut wondering is my map meant toi be made out of pavement and trees floating?
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Well i have got it kinda working. I had to install the patch you put out and then go into the .mis file and tell it to get the correct terrain file (rather than flatmap) but i get missing textures
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Thanks, dude. Right... I used 'Grass2' texture on the places where you see it missing. I will try and find that file and see it it's missing from the terrain's files. - - - Updated - - - I see the problem with 'Grass2' now. Resolving. - - - Updated - - - Uploading new version now. This will take 30 minutes~ Thank you for the help, guys! Hopefully we're problem free then.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Yeah. I've uploaded the hopefully-fixed version twice now, but had problems. First time I refreshed the edit page, which apparently removes the upload, and just now my PC BSOD. Nice. Uploading -again.- - - - Updated - - - Sorry for all of the confusion, everyone. Download back up and hopefully fully working now. Would be much appreciated if someone could report back. Thanks. C:
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track I got the smae issue with missing textures. I tested/extracted twice to make sure as well.
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Damn. This is getting really quite frustrating. The textures that were missing are in the download and 'art' folder, so should be working. Gah. Any ideas?
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Im not sure if this will help you or not. But for me there is no Grass2 texture, it is actually the warning texture that shows up there. Are you sure that the materials are in the correct .cs file. By default torque saves all of the material files in the general main directory art section. EDIT: on closer inspection it is looking for the texture in the "C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG-DRIVE-0.3\levels" i think
Re: Dirt Jam - Motocross Style Racing Track Okay. Would you mind clicking the edit button on that warning texture, and then navigate to Dirt Jam's art folder, terrain and seeing if 'Grass2' is in there, and if you are able to select it? - - - Updated - - - Or if the grass_02 textures are in your art > terrain folder at all.
