Wait hang on. The footage you posted features roads in the Queensland Hinterland, which is near my place, which is in Australia.

Which therefore means you're an Aussie and a fellow Queenslander...
    whoah

I'm from the Gold Coast and live in Currumbin. Honestly one of the best places in the world to live. Like look at this for scenery. Jealous anyone? :D Just kidding sorry for rubbing it in. Love living here literally walk to the beach and theres dogs there. Can't get any better. Plenty of car spotting too.

Back on topic you a Holden or Ford guy?

Well not exactly that color and trim, just the model in general.

Dunno the exact trim names but yours is the sporty one with blacked out trim instead of chrome everywhere.

Hey, I'm relatively new here, helping out with the sound.

So obviously I need a car which sounds pretty ok, so I drive a (very) early 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type UK - just before the nasty 2.5L engine change.

I thought in 2006 they introdused the Hawkeye? Is that why you said "Very early"
Either way, it looks very clean! Love how you have kept the original STI badges everywhere
Overall very classy? If that's even the right word... It just looks very simplistic but sleek how you have it.

Yeah, this is a February 2006 model, they moved to the Hawk's the very next month, so I have the slightly longer wheelbase, the wide track, DCCD.

That photo is a few years old now - certainly now quite as shiny at the moment, that's for sure and the bonnet needs a respray since a repair from a flying rock is starting to peel and come away :( I've not done much externally at all aside from mud flaps, internally just a little bit pumping it up to around 340bhp.

Not sure I can really keep her any more now though since I'm working from home, she sits on the driveway most of the time costing money.

BTW - her name is "The Mistress" since I spent more money and time on her than I did my ex wife :D

Still love it to bits though, such a great car that you don't have to drive like an idiot to appreciate.

This is my trusty 10 year old car.
Video - Click to Play - Direct Link

It may not be the prettiest or lightest, its diesel engine may not sound great or rev high, and it's definitely not fast with its current setup... But it's a very good compromise between fun, practicality and economy.

My mother had the same model and year, but it was Havana Brown and had a petrol 1.6. Got totaled in December 2016, mom didn't notice a Corolla on an intersection. Got hit right in the left fender and wheel, front suspension collapsed, engine shifted a bit, alloy wheel broke into pieces. Crash sensors didn't work, so the engine kept running and airbags didn't open. We got 8500€ from insurance, quite good considering the engine wasn't all right and the warning light was on.
Before your video, I didn't think it was good for anything other than breaking down and getting stuck in the snow. Now I see it can land some skids...

    Thats really cool!
I hope you can get the bonnet resprayed soon!
Also 340BHP is really good, I think.

It'll be a while to be honest. The alloys need refurbishing too now.... and a remap. It feels like it's under 300 atm..... oh and she'll need a new clutch soon too, *sigh*

    not a M3 , but a reasonable 330d

It was indeed really "interesting", definitively not adapted to France but fun, I sold it recently after 5 years of ownership.

Those diesel Beemer's are awesome. A friend has a 2011 335d, my god it's quick. Much more so than the Scooby - at least in a straight line anyway.

    2003 Sonic Yellow WRX,
    180,000 miles, 2nd motor.

    Mods: Full 3 inch exhaust,
Ots Cobb stage 2 map with some custom tweaks
    AEM Cold Air Intake
    Mishimoto Radiator
Forester Struts (gives me a two inch lift with extra travel)
Skid Plate (made out of two road signs riveted together)

I've pretty much rebuilt everything on this car since I bought it.

I take this thing everywhere! Jeep trails, road trips etc... It's been pretty good, except when I got rod knock. But eh, 175k on a modded turbo engine isn't too bad.
The motor in it now is from a WRX that was T Boned by Semi truck at 80 mph, the rear end was ripped off but somehow the front was fine. The guy in the crash lived too :O

Side note: I wasn't involved with adding the lifted yellow AWD car in-game, it's just coincidence :p

Right now I am building a roof rack and adding 15 in Team Dynamic Pro Rally rims with 215/75/r15 General Grabbers

Here is what it is going to look like. I photo scanned my real car, then use blueprints from various manufactures to add the parts.

6 cylinder diesels are fantastic, my dad has a Jaguar XFS diesel (275hp) and that goes like the clappers too, what i like about it is that they are fast but when you want to be civilised, it can return 40-50MPG on a good run. People have remapped it to 330-340 hp and stilll get the same economy! 40MPG and you have 330horses waiting on your foot. It'd be a shame when diesels die out.
