Side note: You should always disable mods before posting a bug report.

Anyhow, that seems an actual bug, we will look into it.

I don't think it's a bug. Some people reported something similar in some testing videos for the CRD mod.

P can't be selected while moving anymore... which, I believe, is the correct (and intended) behaviour.

My knowledge on automatic gearbox is not the best, but AFAIK it's supposed to engage the Parking Brake when you are on P gear, which does not happen.
(It's similar when you park on a hill, and leave your manual vehicle in gear along with the P-brake engaged)

Dunno, guess that would be the case with modern cars with electric parking brake. Otherwise P can only be selected when the vehicle is fully stationary, and you still have to engage the parking brake separately.

I can also confirm that this is a new bug introduced with the last update. P acts like N now.

In real life, engaging P is not the same as the parking brake. The parking brake applies the brakes on the rear wheels, in both manual and automatics. The P locks the drive wheels (they can only spin in opposite directions, thereby preventing the vehicle from rolling) but to the engine it's like being in neutral.

The wheel lock is what's now missing in BeamNG.

Try space for temporary version. This turns off when you push the gas.

I just did a test of all of the stock vehicles with no mods. Only vehicles with CVT or DCT will stop when using parking gear with realistic transmission.

Just an side note/idea - for those of you who have had driven auto gearbox in real life, you sure know it, for other: if you slam in "P" while in move ... for the weaker transmissions it means insta-death. Since the "P" is just small peice of metal that locks output shaft. Modern cars sure have some idiot-proof solution to not do that, but the older cars (Burnside, Moonhawk , LeGran ...) they were basically hoping that driver wouldn't be "that man" who would slam in "P" while doing 50MPH.

Could this be somehow implemented into the next update, so when one "accidentaly" shifts into "P" while moving, it would kill the transmission?
