Nvidia x86-64 CPU. They are better than Intel or AMD. --- Post updated --- And I like my GPUs Intel because why not lol.
I know, I'm just trolling obviously. I posted this to "attack" those brand fanboys who think either thinking only Intel is superior or only AMD is superior. I hate those fanboys. There are good and bad CPU chips on both Team Blue or Team Red. (Same goes for GPUs from Nvidia (Team Green) and AMD (Team Red).) (no hate from any side tho) --- Post updated --- Also, technically Nvidia made CPUs (ARM ones, eg. Tegra) and Intel made GPUs (intergrated graphics).
There's already rumors of an upcoming non-HEDT 8-core Intel Core i7 to take out AMD's Ryzen 7. Also, knowing Intel it won't go down in price.
I go for Intel because it's what I know and used for many years. I wouldn't go with AMD not because it's not good, but because it just doesn't "feel like home." I also have a lot of faith in the top i5 K's for gaming exclusively, even though I could easily go for an i7. They almost did! The Intel Larrabee. There are a few prototypes floating around, even though LinusTechTips wasn't able to make one work at all.
Well actually, AMD was the first to create the X64 Architecture that is commonly found today on intel CPU's. And when they were releasing their Athlon 64's, intel was stuck with their 32 Bit Pentium 4 Processers. If it weren't for AMD then we wouldn't have X64 and 64 Bit operating systems. But AMD is starting to now make a comeback with their RYZEN Processers that were released in 2017, They featured 8 Cores rather than the intel traditional style of 4 Cores. But when it came to gaming there was really no difference. But they were very efficient at doing video / picture editing in general. But I'm not gonna say witch is better because everyone has their own opinion's
Yeah, my cousin does a lot of video rendering and used to go for AMD for that reason. AMD usually has better deals, but again, it comes down to what the user feels more comfortable with. Just as some people go for Chevy, others for Ford. I'm surprised you know all this about AMD, after reading your signature
The old AMD 64s were awesome CPUs in their time. I remember my Athlon 64 3000+ keeping up with a friend's Pentium 4 that was clocked a full GHz higher. The 64-bit support on top was nice too. That was a true golden era for AMD IMO.
Well the first computer I ever used was a Packard Bell desktop computer, and the first PC that I ever owned was a Dell Latitude with two 512MB sticks of DDR2, a 80gb HDD, a brand spanking new modem with support up to 5Mbp! , and a Pentium 4 that ran so hot that I accidently warped the wood on my wooden desk, oops!
Errrm, that's just that, until ryzen, amd wasn't really competitive with intel, and so, intel could permit to make more profits on their products, but now that ryzen has come, they're starting to move their ass to get back some market share and their cpu prices might drop a little... Also, always keep in mind that price≠quality and quality≠price as you can see with apple products : they cost way too much for what they are spec wise, and have one of the shittiest hardware engineering in all of the computer market, although, there are still some people that still want to buy them, either because of the brand image they have, in wich case they're a little bit like you, and I'm like "c'mon guys '-_-" or, beacause of the OS, wich is indeed very good, and surely more user friendly for most of the people for iOS and, at least, from my point of view, a question of accoutumance for macOS, wich I totally understand, although hackintoshes still exists and are totally usable as macOS machines...
I like AMDs attitude, especially for open sourcing things like freesync and etc. But im afraid that might be why it isn't really making money compared to the others. The AM4 socket longevity is good. So i'll go amd.
Intel may actually make some dedicated GPUs in the near future. YAY TEAM BLUE!!! Even if AMD makes a better high-end CPU that competes with Intel, I'm staying with Intel. I Know they got great CPUs, and their quality is top notch in my book. I know AMD has high quality hardware as well, and I trust them, but I feel like Intel is the choice for me.
tbh they have kept up to date with hardware coding and etc. (kabylake has HEVC encode/decode at hardware lvl)
