To be honest, my "Worthless" cars were being designed off of cars that were really low-detail. However, this comment did inspire me to make my '88 Radicus XR4-TTRS a lot more detailed than I usually would make it...is this in the right direction, or am I putting in too little/too much detail?
My new Dorf Crossover. I cheated to add some body features. But I think it turned out great, the first modern car I am proud of.
Thanks for reading my comment and taking it into consideration. For your car design, it's a step in the right direction, but it's just a step. For the front and side, I think they look okay. It's not as good as the example I gave in my previous post, but much better than the majority of car designs on this thread. I think it should have a bit more detail. I'm trying my best to describe it in words but it's very complicated so look up pictures of real life cars to get a better idea of what is needed. I think you should remove those two small hood scopes on the left and right as it makes the car look ugly. The sides kind of make it look like a modern Dodge Challenger so maybe look at pictures of that for reference. The rear however, needs alot more work. From first glance, the back looks like it's missing a boot/trunk. The taillights do somewhat resemble a 4th generation Ford Mustang so maybe look at pictures of that. Or just look up pictures of cars from the 1980s or whatever era that looks similar to yours. Keep working on it and eventually you'll get there. I also want to mention something about all of the designs seen here. They don't look realistic not because the designs are 'bad' or 'simple', but that some of the details, small or large are missing or are just not detailed enough. Sorry if this sounds confusing or contradicting.
So here's what I'm going to export. This is a 1980 Vermillion Igni. It's an American budget...thing. It's got FWD and a solid rear axle, so it is a little bit like the LeGran.
2012-present Gavril Roamer (pre-facelifted model): It would be a nice, if someone made a full model of it (with skin support, police FIPU-like version, etc)...

Looks a lot like a Renault Fuego from the mid 1980's I love it! Howver the LeGran had a Beam axle. But the solid axle should act the same way. Also see a little Suzuki Jimny in it. OT these are getting better and better
from what I heard solid axles are driven A.K.A Live axle. and Beam Axles are non driven. I have no idea if I'm correct. So please do so to correct me if I am wrong. Being wrong is OK in my book because you learn something. Aside from that. There comes the '84 Taro Coupe (Sunshine roof is standard on all coupes) There will be LX and Sport trim options in the future you're just seeing base options
Actually, solid axles and beam axles are interchangeable terms for the same thing (although beam axles are more commonly referred to for undriven axles AKA the LeGran, while driven solid axles are commonly referred to as "live axles). Keep in mind that these terms apply for both front and rear axles. For instance, the D-Series can have a front beam axle (for better load capacity) while being powered by only its rear live axle.

This might possibly be my favorite car that I've ever built in Automation. Finally, I have a vehicle design that I am as satisfied with as I am with my many, many wonderful engines. Seriously, I've learned that I am a way better engine builder than I am a car designer. 1968-1971 Burnside Berkeley V8 Super-Matic 390 CID Pushrod 2-barrel 4-carb N/A V8 251 horsepower 305 lb-ft of torque 9.6 mpg 4250 pounds 3-speed Super-Matic transmission 127 mph 0-60 mph in 9.1 sec This old wagon might be the most important vehicle I've ever designed...not only because it's my first "banger-racer wagon" that I've ever built (seriously, this thing would be perfect for demo-derbies), but also because it's the first car that I put a decent amount of detail into. I seriously love the little bumper vents and indicators I gave it; those look great, IMO.
