This is my Switzer wagon. I based it on a Mercedes 300TD. But this uses a small displacement turbocharged 4 cylinder as apposed to a diesel. Its ride height is much higher then I want it, I believe that it would look much nicer lower.
It is so much easier to draw my designs than to actually build them in automation haha this is how the taillights should look- they keep breaking... Updated Version V3 Final sorry for so many pictures, i just think it's cool to see how this kind of stuff progresses
Because Tollera owns my other company Sdolivec, they sometimes do badge engineering, but the cars have different designs Tollera Left Sdolivec Right Tollera/Sdolivec Plasma/Venus Tollera/Sdolivec Vundec/Aries You guys dont need to just recommend BeamNG cars, recommend anything.
How about you try building an Eastern-block vehicle like a Lada or a Trabant? It has to run on low-quality fuel and it has to be built with a body made earlier than 1970, but other than that, the design's up to you. I think it's a great challenge trying to build something basic and low-tech compared to the typical high-tech vehicles that I build.
could you do a modern rendition of the delorean? (although it is a timeless design) --- Post updated --- nope! i didn't know that existed until you just said so! i can really see the resemblance, though
Incoming the Silvan 3102, an extremely ugly, boring, slow, and unsafe communist car! On october 21, 2015, Delorean made the DMC-13!
I don't have this game yet but I already have an idea on what i am wanting to make. It was made by a Japanese Manufacture and the car was assembled in a country that once had heavy tariffs on imports. It will be front wheel drive it will have a decent sized v6 out of a larger car. it will have beam axle rear suspension. made between 1988 and 1991 and it will be a 4 door sedan.
The Thaal DTL ( 100% Not a 1969 Ford LTD HAHA ) Was everything 1969 U.S.A cars where. Beautiful. But boat like. She has a 7,5 V8 for towing. And the Thaal 800 1938-1955. Very long life span. Nothing much changed. She has a 900 cc in-line 6. They where going to make a inline 4 But the in-line 6 was smoother and was better. Top speed is 106 Kph. Not bad for a cheap 30s car.
I made this in that old version of Automation for campaign mode, so it does not have all whistles and bellies, but kinda is made with that low quality eastern block idea in mind: Problem was that there really was no rear lights that I wanted or that would of looked good, no handles that would fit to hood or trunk, also I wanted front fender blinkers like beetle, which I could not find, which meant it looks crap, but for a campaign that does not matter much as all I needed was to keep price low and allow it to run on poor fuel. Wanted to try campaign in new version, but somehow can't get it to work. Controls for camera are: Middle mouse (click scroll wheel) - focuspoint of camera, needs to be some part of vehicle you click on. Scroll wheel - zoom Right mouse - hold and drag for rotating around focuspoint of camera
It takes about 2 hours from me to make a car in Automation, it really does not matter much which kind of car, this time I wanted to make that eastern block cheap car in earlier post, but in up to date version of Automation, sadly that body is not available in new version and I somehow got bit carried away... In photo mode front end bugs out, then when returning from photo mode body shape is somehow changed in normal mode too. It complains a bit, but not much that can be done, I don't want rear brakes being bigger than front, also I don't want huge fat rear tires. Engine was not easy to make, for first there are no flat 4 in game yet, for second, that should be 60hp @ 4500rpm, compression 8:1 and should run 70 octane with mild pinging according to Wikipedia, but somehow challenging to reach that goal, I cheated and used 91 octane instead, because I don't think that you can make such engine in Automation, to reduce pinging you need sporty cam which moves powerband high up. Also had to use 4bbl instead of 2 single barrels, because using 2 single barrels is not possible and two barrel is not allowing power level without pinging (knocking) reducing power. Also it seems I forgot to change year in game again, well they did not have carbon fibre hoods at old days, so maybe this is modernized retro gurrl car, or whatever. Design itself is something like twisted human nature, there is cute side and then there is the Vader side, all wrapped to pink theme.
Below are pics of my favorite creation in Automation. In the 83 hours I have got in a few years, this is the best looking car I have managed to make. Mechanically it's not great, it's not even that good, but it is ok. I built it to be cheap and fun. Designed in 1987, so 1990 Launch is a bit optimistic It is a nameless 1990 coupe, with a 3 liter 90 degree NA V6 with 24 valves pumping out 255 HP, 5 speed manual gearbox, rear wheel drive and 1200kg of weight. All that leads to top speed of 235 km/h and 0-100km/h in 5,9 seconds. It has 4 seats, so you can get your non-legged friends in the back. For all the Archanians: it takes 91 RON fuel Price for all this is just 24 999 USD. (Not sure if Automation accounts for inflation, the material cost is 21 200) Rust is taken care of with galvanisation and corrosion resistant panels. The game rates its reliability to 67.6, just about the lowest I could personally still consider good enough (usually I try to get at least 70) Downsides would be insane fuel economy( 22 l/100km) and extremely hard suspension.
