MOAR avenue bits and pieces. Most of the slope pieces are in, a few rudimentary fixes are in order, but they're mostly good to show now. This is an overview of the area (above), only one highway off-ramp is done, and the 'road rollercoaster' on the bottom right won't be like that in the finished product. The brown 'divisions' where the green grass is, is where I've plotted out roads. What looks flat past the interstate is actually not, quite not. Nope. Not a bit as you'll see below. Ignore the Pessima (below, middle screen shot) with the engine a half/quarter block behind it. Those aren't curves, those are inclined sections, quite the fun that will be to go fast, and it is This whole area nearby (on the hillside against the mountain range) will be like this, with lots of hills separated by flat intersections. 9 new pieces today. That makes 234 unique pieces plus a subway station, to build the city with (modular road/highway/rail/subway kit). The stone-filled mound in the center will have some plants and such in it, but it's more there because it is a jump then it is for making the map look nice. Getting good speed (65~100+mph) and hitting that median at a perpendicular angle, will send the car no less than 12~20 feet in the air. It will sure look better once I get some buildings modeled into it. --That is all!
I don't think anyone got what I was trying to say, guess I suck at wording things Anyway what I mean was the mod Shotty showed was an interceptor(which looks fine) but it wasn't made out of a falcon like others had said, the xb falcon which shotty made is fine and accurate looking when I said everything is wrong for a falcon I was meaning the interceptor not the falcon. To close falcon is fine, interceptor is fine and both are shottys but they aren't the same.
Great, I feel like an idiot now. I thought you were complaining that the Falcon mesh he made wasn't accurate enough to the real thing.
Oh now I know what you mean. Why didn't he use the XB Falcon to make the interceptor? But then again, the interceptor did have a few body shell mods (small fender flares, roof spoiler etc) so maybe he just edited the standard XB Falcon mesh.
Time to post a random picture of one of my weird contraptions that I am working on for some dumb reason... blame BLIJo's trailer.... --- Post updated --- Update for another 40 min of work
Love it, but then again I do have a thing for weird contraptions One of my dreams is to explore how to get something from this to BeamNG, but instead of ball, your car(s) would be an actor: https://store.steampowered.com/app/241240/Contraption_Maker/ That is like Incredible Machine, if anyone remember that game from ancient history of pc gaming. Lua triggers etc. are essential to learn in order to create things like that, so it takes time to learn such, but I don't see anything stopping of creating such level where you have to use cars to solve physics puzzles for example.
Its a decent start but do pay more attention to the poly flow, especially the side along the doors. Also you will want to add alot more loop cuts to the rear lights and don't be afraid to use triangle faces in those areas.
Does it spawn the spikestrip as separate vehicle or is it part of gm? Is it possible to do similar thing for hay baler so it can create and unload bales?
