I am looking foward to this one! I hope I will be able to use it once it comes out. I looks like it may be very CPU/GPU intensive. Keep up the good work!
Here i'll bring the download here to this page. and Its not intensive to the cpu/gpu its BIG. length of apperently 10 belaz but its actual size. So here's the link to the ship V4: (Might need to keybind a thruster or two to get the turning to work tho.
= Where is the download? Or am i just stupid and missing something obvious? XD EDIT Oh jeez i realized how stupid this post now looks because the download is right there abovemy post XD lol
Sorry everyone, but it appears that something has screwed up the titanic, at least on my end, could someone check if it still works?
do be honest v4 don't work on my boys laptop or mine I cant spell well but im sure you can guess the last 2 words / fatal - - and no image shadow or anything just invisible
Sorry then, It appears a game update changed it, I also have no clue what it could have changed. I think it may be the end here.
Is it almost done? To save time you can pluck actual textures from .png's I can supply. --- Post updated --- The model isn't supported due to the change from an update. Model unit (or) .(insert) has been changed. It would basically be like the brake pedal in a car no longer stops it, but makes it go. --- Post updated --- For it's size it wouldn't be. It appears (from Forum Page 1) to be the size of the old pontoon boat, or the B25. It may be memory intensive, if the windows and lifeboats and deck pieces are 3D textures instead of flat 4points. --- Post updated --- For it's size it wouldn't Correction* that is a Belaz, not an Ibishu Covet. I need my vision checked.
The thing is. The ship had worked for a week or two. But then the update happened. it WAS THE BIGGEST SHIP we had. But it died too young to really have changes done to it well. It was released til the update but we have given up in this. Honestly if someone else wants to try to make a huge ship like this i encourage you people to try it. Its not as intensive as you think. So im posting the last thing about this ship NOTE IT WAS BEFORE THE UPDATE THAT BROKE IT. But it shows IT WORKS so take this as the final thing we got from this project. I hope this will give at least one other person the motivation to make bigger things like this because its fun to have big things in beamng and more ships. but sadly, the ships died in beamng for the meantime.
Rest In Peace R.M.S Titanic Beam edition we barely knew ye. you sank just as quick as the real thing. you died on your maiden voyage.
Or you see this as a chance to make something properly with a good mesh, materamat and a proper jbeam Or you don't and you keep crying about something that isn't even that good IMHO. What did you expect by the way? That you slapped some cubes on top of eachother, somewhat resembling the shape of the Titanic, beg for someone to jbeam something and be the next modder of the century? Even basic mods take more time and effort than this one did(if you have the same skills for the sake of comparability). You 'need' to start with small stuff, otherwise it's almost impossible to learn the basics yourself. If you want to learn. So what are you gonna do? Create a new one and don't give up and make it properly? Or give up and whine on this thread about the 'death' of the Titanic because some update hit it like an iceberg? BLIJo
