Of course I could change my resolution, but I have postFXs I can turn down and other graphics settings I can change if I'm wanting better FPS. You realize I have most of my settings on high right? If I want it silky smooth I have tons of room to work with, I'm not stuck in a corner running at low settings.

It depends on how many cars you are running. At 1-3 cars I'm sure more then 1% of people are GPU bound. I'm GPU bound with 1-3 cars (I haven't done much testing with more cars so maybe I can get 4-5 and still be GPU bound).

So... Do you have a money back guarantee? ;) I doubt 99% of people are CPU bound with 1-3 cars (and there's not a huge draw to run any more cars for extended periods of time in BeamNG right now).

Asus G750 here, with the 765m and an i7 4700HQ (3.4GHz). I use all settings on high, including all postfx settings. Antialiasing is on 1x. I get ~25-30fps all day.

Thing is, graphics can only be tuned up so high while you can add around 70 cars before the game crashes. At anything over 1080p graphics performance tanks. I am running my GTX 770 at 1306 with my 5-year-old 870 and some situations are still gpu bound. Overall the game is quite hard on both.

Heheh, good point ! I know what you mean.

    - - - Updated - - -

I didn't think you were stuck in a corner with low settings, but there's a big difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS when the game is designed to run at 60. I could run the game at 1920x1080 at around 30 - 40 FPS, but it seems to chug because of the dip in FPS. The control feels different.

No way that is possible, unless you are running at a really low res. I dont even max out bf3, i can play at high and get 60fps but not maxed. And beamng i have to run on basically normal or low to get 60fps.

Well in reality any i7, 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, and 4th gen are all good for gaming with a good graphics card. So you have a point.

No CPU is good for gaming without a good graphics card,
that goes without saying, but thank you.

I'm not trying to make a point really, I'm just curious to see
where he goes with that statement.

The game is very demanding from what I can tell, and that is with 3 computers, if you are going to build a AMD pc, don't expect everything to work with it, some maps with my AMD build has super texture issues, but on my Intel build those issues are gone. but by playing the game on may different computers, if you want to play the game on max settings, 1080p, high fps, you will need: GTX 750ti, 8gb ram (i have 16 tho) and a Intel i7 4770 @3.4ghz, and so far I can run everything I have thrown at it so far.

but if you just want to be able to play the game at med settings 720p - 1080p, you can get a: Radeon 4800 series, AMD phantom xII quad core @3.2ghz and 8gb ram. that will get you around med settings, and OK fps.

if you just want to be able to launch the game and play at low settings: (this build is quite odd and heavy on the bottle-necking) intel E4500 duo core @2.2ghz, GTX 550ti and 2gb ram, (it was my first PC) it will run the game on low settings, but I have only tried the game on that pc with the trial version.

I am still a n00b with computers so don't take my advice for granted.
