@Nadeox1 mentioned "new configurations coming for the other vehicles" besides the Burnside taxi and ETK K Series Polizei , but those were the only two released . Could we be seeing additional content in the hotfixes?
There`s a T-Series config, Moonhawk config and barstow config as well but i think that`s all. I hope we`ll see the new car in the hotfixes.
How? Just copy all of the files from "vehicles/Yourvehicle" and paste them from one to the other? I tried that an it loaded up 2 configs, but they both had no texture and drove exactly the same.
Wait for my heap of lore-friendly mods. First one would be a 60s fullsize, inspired by early 60s Imperials, Lincolns and Cadillacs.
Italy seems to have gotten spawnpoints sometime between 0.12 and now. Odd. It may be closer than we think . --- Post updated --- I suspect a "5th anniversary update " Italy appears to be nearing completion The "AB" car is in game Remember tdev's "AI Work"? Wentward bendy bus was confirmed as WIP soon after 0.12. It's likely nearing completion or completed. Nadeox1 hinted at "numerous configurations ", yet we only saw the two promised ones. There's probably lots more that I'm forgetting , but this update seems a bit "light". Something seems a bit odd. Probably just me though.
Completely agree. I think that this may have just been to push the exporter, but when the 5th anniversary comes out, we’ll see more improvements like all trims exporting, and being able to have power steering in game, and things like that.
Is it just me or is the Ai now actually able to pass each other safely even on narrow roads instead of driving in the middle of the road with 'ln Lane' turned on? They drive more to the right on these small roads and can even pass big trucks (well, most of the time...) Whereas before, two cars meeting on such roads mostly ended up like so: (The position of the cars was simulated, beacause...) ...I also noticed that, when I let them crash, they bounced off of each other and ended up like this: Before the update they used to stick together after higher speed crashes, looking like the first picture above. Nothing was mentioned in the changelog, curious, isn't it? I definately like it...
Well, they showed some time ago that they were working on AI improvements... So that might be it --- Post updated --- They're probably waiting for the anniversary to unveil the "big" things
Yeah I thought of that too, but it's really odd that they didn't "advertise" it in any way in the devblog... Cause IMO this is quite a big improvement. --- Post updated --- And it seems that crashes overall aren't that "sticky" anymore. Which is a really good thing.
So since I'm the only person on the site who don'st have automation (and as such this update was kinda lackluster to me) I wonder what either the next hotfix or full blown update will be.
I and a few others see a possibility of a 5th anniversary update in August. There is a lot of content that appears to be done. Likely it wasn't included to have this update focus solely on automation.
Totally. If they had released a new car, Italy and the exporter all at once it would have been “too much”
Aye, there is probably quite bit they have at top of furnace. However for me this was already huge update, how they could pull that AM map so quickly together? Place has a lot of detail and roads are really entertaining to drive on, then there is airfield and race track too. Of course they have other things in engine to work on, which probably do make pace of map developing bit slower as new things need to be waited, some planned feature needs to be in before they can push out content that rely on such feature etc. I guess there is also some content made that will never be published as some feature that content needed was dropped, maybe? Sometimes in development such things happen, surprises are something that can be counted on and estimates are difficult, so sometimes developer has to change plans and drop something for something better.
According to the automation developers, the partnership started in February, thus they likely had more than enough time to make it.
