1: Can't say I've experienced that one, for me soft cars are soft and wallowy, hard cars are incredibly hard. Would have to see the car to work out what's goign on.
    2. What engine configuration? Most engines with one muffler will be at least as loud as stock beam cars, so maybe on paticular engine has broken there.
    3. Again not one I've seen.

Would be good to get the ".car" file for this so we can export it ourselves and see what it does :)

It seems that my Automation 2900hp engine is only 1700hp in BeamNG.

Now I know import taxes can be high, but 1200hp is quite a bit? o_O

At extreme end, approximation is ending further off I guess, maybe I add bit more turbo in notepad++ to compensate :p

Generally I'm really amazed how well exporter works, actually I'm amazed of how clever bunch there has to be behind it to actually make it work, there is some seriously complex calculation needed. Looks like soon 12 hours gone in a flash and I have just scratched the surface :D

Turbo cars, especially on the extremes can diverge a lot due to the differences in BeamNG's and Automation's turbo models/data, and what I have to do to get it out. Getting the .car file so I can take a look would be helpful.

For some reason, I've had this happen to me. Whenever I export cars, the BeamNG preview image looks strange.

    Case in point.

    What's doing this?

With a bigger sample size now that more cars are on the repository, it looks like only some of them have the problems with the engine and transmission I described, so that must mean it's user error rather than a problem with the exporter. They're all still much quieter than the vanilla cars for me though, unless they're straight-piped.

Here are the .car files and a video to show it from my perspective. Like I said, it looks like the mechanical issues are on me (I'm not surprised, I don't really know what I'm doing) but the difference in volume is quite pronounced.

What mufflers did you choose for that one? Sounds right to me if you chose two reverse flow mufflers (that'd be a very quiet luxury exhaust)

It's just a single baffled muffler. It's meant to be just a cheap compact sedan.

Ah, then yes, that's unusually quiet.

Looking into sound levels today, we'll see how it can be improved :)

You can try to play with this. One might say it being 'slightly' at extreme end, not sure if it is actually possible to go much farther to that end of extreme :D

One of my oddball builds, limits can be found only by stepping beyond them...

    Hello.

I use the custom directory for storing User data in BeamNG. The path is a relative one, \User, meaning \user from the installation directory of BeamNG.

The exporter is unable to handle this properly...
I have the Automation installation on a different drive, and my exported vehicles end up in <driveletter>:\User\mods\ instead of BeamNG installation directory\user\mods.

    Keep up the good work.

You do not get any other messages during the export. Like that Automation could not connect to Steam? Or that the output path could not be determined? Could you email me your startup.ini to support@camshaftsoftware.com ?

The exporter queries Steam for the BeamNG install directory and then reads the startup.ini to find the userpath. So if you have moved and using BeamNG outside of Steam. Then Automation will be reading the original startup.in and assuming it should carry on as normal.

Something is wrong with this export as rear suspension is quite extended. It does kinda fit to period, but handling is terrible, it is nothing like that in AM:

Not sure if it is something I have done or fault in export, but unless I have missed something it should not appear like that in game.

    Hi,

I can toss it in right here, nothing sensitive in it:
; use UTF-8 without BOM as encoding

    [filesystem]
; This determines where the User path is.
; This is by default or when empty below "My Documents\BeamNG.drive"
    ;UserPath =

    ; example for using e:\beamng-user
    ;UserPath = e:\beamng-user

; example for using a relative path to this folder
    UserPath = \user

; example for local path (same as -nouserpath)
    ;UserPath = .\

I have installed BeamNG through Steam. I have two Steam folders since the drive was getting full. :)

I do not get any errors from Automation, it simply creates the directory.

Cheers, my tired brain rereading your first post makes sense.

I will give it a fix, you could just try changing the relative path to an absolute path to the same place. It should work.

I made few changes, changed springs, damping and ARB, now attempting to export this causes Automation to crash immediately when I click export button, maybe file is useful for diagnosing why such crash happens?

I think I catch few z's, fresh brain is much fresher then :p

Any chance you plan on adding thermal simulation for the exported cars? It could be done manually, but could be better if was done automatically.

Also, could be nice if we could export a car with multiple trims all at once instead of doing every trim one by one. Or if they all show as one car in beam instead of beam having a single car for every trim.

I only use the export button in the vehicle selection, not in the final stage of building the car, because Automation tends to crash sometimes when I export a car right after finishing it from the "Summary" page.
