It is very nice and perhaps appropriate feature for modern automatics, but mechanical automatic boxes are such that there is reduction in torque to wheels when shifting, but it does not cut completely. That means you can burn rubber trough the gears and there will be no cuts in stripe from shifting.

I don't know if there is option to switch feature off like there is for advanced shifting logic, haven't looked much, but what little I did play with Barstow, Drag auto seems to be working way I would except old autos to work, except when doing burnout against brake on D it does not like to shift up very easily. 3spd auto is not so realistic, some of that is of course to do with wheelspin treshold.

Also I don't know if difference is completely because of wheelspin treshold, but at coming days I have to play with box settings anyway, who knows what I stumble upon.

Anyway as long as I can turn a switch in some file, I'm happy building and testing and boy is there now much to play with, it might take some months until wold sees me now :)

200BX 'Demon' doesn't like revving to 8500RPM even with the ultra heavy duty long block. Gives overrev damage right before hitting redline

well... It is not meant to? It is set to 7300rpm from default
    --- Post updated ---
And with Stage 2 performance block it can just about rev to 8300rpm, but then you need to reduce the boost pressure, as over torque will blow up the engine

Yes, the 4R70W trans in my Mark VIII hardly does any throttle reduction between shifts, also shifts quickly.

On the other hand , my LS400 A410e shifts a little longer than the Mark 8, but hardly reduces throttle, although it does, just not by alot. In beam, it seems to recude it 100% for all vehicles, and the delay is very long. If there were values to modify this, would be much better.

Edit: I found values in the automation export engine file regarding the trans shift behavior and got it to a good setting, sweet!

Aside that, very happy with the update!

I suppose old and new automatics have different behavior.
Anyhow one can disable/enable/etc from the Jbeam in their mods ( 'throttleCoefWhileShifting' - set to 1 to disable )

I thought I had heard the glass breaking sound after the update, but now I can't hear it either and I confirmed the glass on the vehicle broke. I even tried with all mods disabled and file integrity has been verified via Steam. Please have the dev team check this, as I think the glass breaking sound was really nice & important in making the crash sounds realistic. With the new crash sounds & without the glass breaking, car crashes now sound more like crushing an aluminum can.

    "That feature was actually requested"
I don't understand this argument? If it is not more realistic it should not be implemented in the game.
I hope it will be tweaked further in a future update.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the latest shifting update (and I've been driving real cars for a long time). Torque should be reduced momentarily during shifts, otherwise you'd have very harsh shifting and probably early breakage of transmission components.

And here's a screenshot of the bad (blurry) Utah texture I mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure this wasn't there before the last update.

    Suggestions for .13 fixes.
    1. Rumble strips for advanced stop sign warning.
    2. Rumble strips on sides of highway
    3. Bring back .11 semi sound for t series, (maybe just a different engine for semi, and another for bus.)
    4. Bring back whistling turbo for semi and bus.
    5. Have a bus with the .11 semi sound.
Otherwise, I haven't had issues yet with update.

The plastic rock shield on the hood of the new T-series has undesirable / weird reflections.

That's why this thread is also called 'feedback', we will look into that :)
Obviously, general speaking, the more information and details would help with that (rather than "it's bad" kind of post)

    It's still there over here.
Please clean reinstall your game (instructions in first post)

It's not plastic, and it has not been touched for this update. What's wrong with it? Could you give some more details?

I got the PostFX stuff working and i'm satisfied!
I tried deleting an engine sound mod I had and then clearing cache, has the glass breaking sound been changed by any chance? I still don't hear anything familiar there. Just wondering, before I clean reinstall since that takes some time.

Bois, this is how you tune old fashioned auto transmission...

Ok, I admit that there is bit too much of rev limiter, but it is not done yet, WIP, just started with it.
