editing DDS files

    Hello, I have a small question which im sure is something really stupid, but I just cant figure it out.
    I tried to make red interior for etk 800, since I absolutely love it newer bmws, I edited some textures before with etk K series and it went all smooth without any errors, but when I do it with etk 800, every time it loads its either all black or some weird chrome, as far as I know some alpha settings should fix it, and I don't know which one... in photoshop it seems fine, I don't know why it doesn't work in the game upload_2018-7-20_14-7-36.png

    Does its says anything about it in the console ? That could steer you toward a solution to the problem.

    Else, that I can think of is :
    - Is your image exported in BTX5 with Mipmaps being generated ?
    - Is your image size powers of 2 ? (for example 4096*4096) I remember one of my texture not working because it was 4096*4095...
    - Do you have any parse error in your material.cs ? Check that there's ';' at the end of each line. You could also try to remake the material.cs from scratch, copy-pasting it from an official interior file

    only thing im doing different than what are you saying is saving, I am saving in DXT5 instead of BXT5 which I cant actually find, other that that everything seems normal, and theres nothing in the commands window

    the weird thing is seats work like they are supposed to, but the interior doesn't for some reason, and when I just copied normal interior texture on ttsport interior and put it in the game files, it turned black

    My bad, I meant DTX5, not BTX5.

    Your problem is that your interior texture doesn't have any transparency. If you look at the official interior file, you'll see that there isn't any pixel that's not transparent.

    I don't have photoshop, but in Gimp you can create this effect by using Layer Masks : https://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Layer_Masks/ (see the "Modifying a Layers Transparency with the Mask" part). There must be a similar function in photoshop.

    Thank you so much! I downloaded gimp and did it all there, im little unfamiliar with it but it works way better, Thanks!
