Is it just me? I've noticed that with the most recent update I've getting better fps. Have the devs been optimising this game frequently? (sorry if my english is off, I am brazilian)
i also realised that because when my camera is in my burnout smoke i dont get lower fps anymore its pretty much possible
My potato can actually achieve a constant 30 fps now, and I can fun it on higher settings without getting less than 10 fps.
Oh, also something i forgot to say. In the changelog it says that you can choose the car you want to appear in the main menu, how can you do that? --- Post updated --- Same here, a constant 30 fps in an absolute potato
not sure about this tho, are you talking about the default vehicle you spawn with when loading in a map?
hold on I'm gonna see if i can get a screenshot --- Post updated --- Here, got a screenshot of what I'm talking about --- Post updated -
well i couldnt find out how to change vehicle in scenario sorry :/ hoo dude i didnt read corectly , it say they added new scenario that let you select vehicle, soo its from specific scenario, idk my English is bad lol, wait for a dev to help you
Oh ok, I thought that i could change the car in the background but nope!, That's fine though. Just wanted to know these two things, Thanks guys
We are always working on making bits of the game work faster, so that's really possible you are seeing some of that improvements.
Someways it is faster, someways it is slower. I have not seen huge change to direction or another, but it might be those with faster GPU might see improvements, it usually depends what is limiting fps in first place, also some settings might be faster than before, but with some other settings there might be slowdown. Tire smoke slows down my FPS really a lot, it is easy to notice with Bolide, before smoke did not cause slowdown, but smoke is so much prettier now that it takes bit more to compute. I can play on Low at WCUSA dockyard when using 1080p, shadows partial and no check boxes checked, playing on normal is possible too, but then I get few drops to below 60fps and FFB is not liking that. That is with 1050Ti. If there is lot of smoke, FPS drops to below 40. I usually try to keep GPU usage below 90% (fps limited to 60) so that if there is some extra needed, I don't get frames dropped.
