Well, atleast I'm not the only Slipknot/Stone Sour fan.

Rush, Queens of the Stone Age, Pixies, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden (rest in peace, Chris Cornell). There are probably others I'm forgetting.

Stone Sour is a good band.
I've never much cared for Slipknot though. There's something about their harder stuff that just doesn't agree with me, but their songs like Snuff are alright.
    ---
A band that I've tried, numerous times, to get into is Ghost BC. I just can't get past Pope Edgelord and their entire Satanic "theme" which is just going way overkill to me. Their music is solid, but the theatrics is just too much for me.
In fact, a pretty good question for debate would be what bands you've attempted to listen to, but just couldn't get into for whatever reason.
I always liked Seether, but the way Shaun Morgan literally just ripped chord progressions from various sounds really kinda got under my skin, especially when they ripped Brand New's Daisy.
Papa Roach was another band that I liked, but one of my close friends (at the time...) met Mr. Roach himself and said he was the biggest douche he's ever met.

Regardless, to be on topic, here's a few more.
These are more Celtic/Finnish/Folk Metal type bands, but I still dig them.
    • Flogging Molly
    • Dropkick Murphys - Note: If you listen to this song, you're required to drive down your nearest large city, windows down, with the stereo cranked. ;)
    • Korpiklaani - Lyrics are in Finnish, so crack open your Finnish textbook.
    • Skyclad - Also happen to be one of first Folk Metal bands, although this one isn't true older Skyclad.
    • Heidevolk - This song will make you grow a beard. Lyrics in Dutch.
I honestly don't know what on Earth to classify Colter Wall under. He's... Gothic Americana Rock with Johnny Cash influence? Roots rock? Grunge Americana? lol He's acoustic guitar, heavy percussion, with obvious Roots Rock and Gothic Americana influence. The heavy percussion and his use of... bass-slapping? makes me question what genre he is under.

Well, the vocalist for those 2 bands are actually the same (Corey Taylor). Little fun fact.

The band also originated in the same location as Slipknot (Des Moines), and were both established in the 90s.
