I want this to be good, I really do. but here's all the gripes I have with it: The driving position in first person sucks, I feel like a child behind the wheel when the camera level is in line with the bottom of my side window. This means I can't see the road ahead. This needs fixing. the sounds need cleaning up. The beeping noise you get over 65 and the indicators especially need to be cleaned up. The N/B structure is FULL of areas which are self colliding The detachable parts are on too strongly. They tend to clip before they fall off. The best way to protect your car from having all the parts clip is to make sure all the parts tend to break off after a certain amount of deformation is likely. Weaken your breakgroups significantly for the bumpers, grill and lights. The mesh turns spikey in areas after you deform the car.
completely agree with this, the original model he ported from came with a 100% accurate kouki bumper too, not sure why he didnt port it
That's the speed chime, if you don't want it, just open the part selector and remove it, it only takes like 5 seconds to do.
I found a mistake on this ae86: -> This car has a independent suspension both on the front and the back how I found it: I like to drive on american road map, and on one slope I realiced that the rear suspension was doing weird things for a live axe so I spawned a D15 and I started to play god with gravity and then I found It. Live axels maintain the wheels parallel to the ground in all loads, independent suspensions will have positive camber if underloaded and positive if overloaded.
Well, thanks for telling me. At least now I know that Im not the only one that saw it and that the internet is still ahead of everyone else. I hope that someone fixes it if @schumacher can't do it before returning to his dutyes in real life.
wrong thread ,please go to the beamng eBay one https://www.beamng.com/groups/beamng-ebay.367/groupinfo
The Keyholes, and headlights on the Kouki Models, and some interior pieces are all red, and can't be changed. Could you please fix this?
I got excited to finally see a good looking mod of one of my favorite JDM cars, but I was somewhat disappointed. I noticed that the rear wheels have alignment options that shouldn't exist for live axle suspension and I also noticed that the rear suspension gains negative camber under compression, which you should only see on MacPherson strut, double wishbone and similar suspension styles. So I'm a bit confused as to why you made the model look right, but didn't design the physical beams as live axle suspension (You could have based it largely off of the Miramar's race rear suspension just with a few modifications to make it a 4-link coil-spring setup). Also the Silvertop 4AGE had too much low-end torque and the curve was kind of odd and wavy even before 9000 rpm and dropped off badly past about 9000 RPM, then was even more wavy. Dropping off before redline is normal, (depending on the setup) but not to that degree, I never needed to use the last 2000 RPM. And about the Silvertop, if it's based off of the Formula Atlantic engine, it should have only a 16-valve head, make 266 hp and only rev to 10400 RPM if I'm not mistaken, so it shouldn't be a Silvertop. If it's based off of the one Bunta gets for the AE86 in Initial D, It should make good power at the top end up to about 11000 RPM, make about 240 hp and have a 20-valve head (As you made it). Lastly why does a car as light as the time attack Levin put out a bit over 600 hp on 205 mm SPORT tires! It's not hard to drive because it requires skill, I was giving about 75% throttle in fourth gear and the wheels completely broke traction once boost built up, and why on earth does it have drift steering? Anyway, I'll just stop there with the time attack preset, so otherwise I do think this mod looks good, but I really hope you fix these things in the future.
