Since BeamNG has exploded with popularity (will even more with steam) I think a full mod website (Official one) might be needed. The forums are great, but some awesome maps and vehicles will be shared, then lost forever in the black hole of the forums. Maybe something where you can upload a mod and it stays there, just like may other modding websites out there. I'd recommend steam workshop, but idk how well that would work
A repository is definitely needed so I think that it is most likely planned. With all the new mods being created there needs to be a place where we can view them all at once.
Well that should really be done as soon as possible. Like soon as race update comes out. ( I feel that gabe could have released T75, pigeon, tire and brake tweaks earlier then full race update, allow for bug finding) That along with engine tweaks to allow for more suspension types and the like.
Would you like fries with that? Also a repo is planned and WONT be included with the race update, (if you look in the blog though you can see a GUI button for the repo)
Would you like to read posts better? No where did I say with, Im fully aware of what kind of work goes into things like this. And thank you for repeating others before you. I would agree I was rather unclear, I meant to say start on it as soon as race update is out. This is definitely a feature that is better done sooner then later, and I am glad to hear it is in fact; planned.
Hmm, I guess I did sound a little mean, sorry about that. Yeah, I guess myself and a few other people misread the question,
if Beam is likely to be on Steam, then they can implement the Workshop feature into the game. otherwise they should set up a site like Kerbal Spaceport, which is a download site for Kerbal Space Program game.
