Turbos/Superchargers Only Produce Boost in Slow Motion

Hi, I have an odd issue in game which is that forced induction only works in slow motion. The boost guages and shift lights either say -0.1 or are bouncing up and down, such as in the ETK i. When I enable slow motion, they work as intended and the car feels much faster in comparison to the regular speed. I have disabled mods, lowered graphics settings, and tested out on different vehicles but I have found no solution to the problem.

My PC is an Alienware 15 (I know, they suck!) with a 4.2 ghz i7, 16 gb of ram, and an AMD M395x with 4gb of vram.

 

what's your fps? it's probably something you just have to deal with for now. i get around 30 on gridmap and it happens to me.

 

I get around 45-60 FPS.

 

pretty sure anything below 60 is fair game to be more fucked up than it should be. different cars/turbos handle it better than others.
try increasing the inertia of your turbo. you'll have more lag, but hopefully it will hold boost and rpm better

 

What if you use FPS limiter feature of the game and limit FPS to 45, does turbo work then better?

Also covet more engines mod broke all turbo cars in game, but I think that mod was fixed already and I think issue was different with that.

It is still worth to test mods disabled / moved outside of game folder structure.
