Hello everyone, I just needed some help when it comes to Automation Mods ported to Beam.NG. The problem is when I spawn in a car from automation, the tires pop... Can someone help me out? -Hypnotic
Your tires are probably not able to bear the load of the weight of the vehicle. In your suspension options in automation when you hover the mouse over the spring or dampener area it shows the max load. You should also get a warning in the game that tells you the tires are to wide or narrow to support the load when you complete the car.
Could you post some pics and stats of the car your having problems with? Weight, engine size and tire size?
Sorry for the EXTREMELY late response (My parents are divorced.) But I can definitely post some pics of the stats. Hopefully this will help. Thanks!
I don't see anything that jumps out at me that could blow tires. Only suggestion I have is to beef up the rear suspension since the car is heavier in the rear then the front. My cars don't drive perfect by any means but even front engine cars of mine have more frequency in the rear then the front. This can be seen by hovering the mouse over the spring setting. Most of my cars have 10-20% higher in rear then front. --- Post updated --- It also seems your pc might not be fully up par for either of the games looking at your screenshots. I'm not as knowledgeable on computers as I use to be so I don't know if this could be an issue or not but both games seem to be very dependent on a good GPU. I guessing someone here could chime in and verify if this has any bearing on what the car does in game. Maybe you could use the feature to export the automation file to someone and let them transfer it to beam and see if anything changes.
The GPU will absolutely not affect the way a car behaves. It will affect how things appear on the screen, as well as general rendering performance. Now if you had a problematic CPU... that could cause issues in theory.
All the above regarding Hardware is totally unrelated to the issue. The random popping of tires has either to do with a "broken" export of the mod, or Beam just increases the tire pressure too much or gets false readings. Try and verify the BeamNG game files (steam → right click on Beam → properties → local files → check file integrity) It´s just a guess, so it might not do anything
